5 out of 5 stars Just pure brilliance   June 1, 2008
Calm Reader (Surrey, England)
I was in the airport a while back, and i needed a book to read, my friend had said that they were really good, but she said i had to read the others first.

I read this one first and thought that it was great, i was glued to it. when i got home i rushed to the local bookshop to get the first one, and although i knew quite a bit about Becky Bloomwood/Brandon, i found it just as enjoyable.

I would definatly recommend it!

I have read all of the books in the 'Shopaholic' sequel, and this is by far my favoroute, Becky is such a loveable charactor and funny

5 out of 5 stars Such a humourous read!   March 20, 2008
Ms. Katrina Gibbons (Basingstoke, Hampshire, United Kingdom)
I recently purchased this book with the intention to read in the upcoming birth of my third child. I thought I'd have a look at the first chapter to see how the story was, however, I ended up reading the whole book in the bath in one evening!
It is very comical and I can relate to some of the thought processes that Bex was going through.
My favourite part of the book is where her designer friend uses a phrase on a new line of t-shirts that Bex describes her obstetrician (who happens to have been an ex of Bex's husband) and the obstetrician sees Bex out and about wearing the same top!
I recommend this to anyone who wantes to have a giggle!

5 out of 5 stars Sophie and Baby Triumphs   November 30, 2007

I have read almost all Sophie's books, and this is the best. Sophie really knows how to write about the trials of expectant mothers, new mothers, wives, friends and rivals. As a keen reader of Katie Fforde, Helen Dunne, Kirsty Crawford and Joanna Trollope, I found this book deeply satisfying and funny, but also very touching.

4 out of 5 stars She's back!   November 26, 2007
Cadeyes (Switzerland)
Yet another novel in the Shopaholic series. Becky's back and happily married to Luke (or is she?) as well as expecting her first baby... As usual, there's plenty of action going on and reading the book makes you chuckle a bit now and then. You end up rooting for her (as usual) while shaking your head a bit at all the things she says and gets up to. I loved this book and was through with it quite fast. This one had less shopping in it though than the others and I missed her thoughts and explanations on why she needed yet another item. Those parts are usually brilliant as she's very imanigative in her arguments! In short, a great read from an author who is one of the leading ladies in light & fun literature.
