Extremely useful if what you need are the basic facts. June 8, 1999 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have used this book to help me through my degree course, and I couldn't have done so without it. It provides so much useful, basic information it will be invaluable to anyone studying suicide. It is very well referenced, so that you can follow the "links" to get access to almost all the information you need. It provides a good historical background, and lots of information on the motivation to commit suicide. The psychodynamic section was great, helping me to understand Freud......it all seems so obvious now. Read together with Gavin Fairbairn's "Contemplating Suicide" it can expand you knowledge without having to spend too much time in the library.
