Good synopsis September 25, 2006 Dr. Victor Chua (Cambridge, UK) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Dr Michelle Tempest has edited an excellent book, with contributions from most heads of Royal Colleges (medical speciality organisations), government and opposition politicians, and other commentators. It will be interesting to see whose vision becomes reality!
Really enjoyable and interesting read July 19, 2006 Charlie Sullivan (Somerset) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I am a nurse and I found the book so interesting and enjoyable. We hear so much on the TV about the NHS and most of it is confusing even for those of us who work in it. However, this book explained the issues really clearly. I have now handed it on to one of my friends who doesn't even work in health care and she's really enjoying it too.

Inspiring, clear and very readable July 3, 2006 Mr. T. L. Kevan (London) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is a truly excellent book and Dr Tempest deserves many congratulations for bringing together such an eminent group of health professionals and politicians into one volume. The book is very readable for a lay person and sets out numerous useful suggestions for improvement as well as providing a clear guide to the issues which the institution currently faces. I highly recommend the book not just for those who workn in the NHS but also for members of the public more generally.
