Striking narrative and illustrations. May 26, 2008 Humpty Dumpty (Lookout Mountain, Tennessee) Zany story and zany, funny ills combine to make a really good package for young children at storytime. The ills combine a striking ability to make a simple statement while being quite detailed. The verses and letter that make part of the narative add variety. Excellent!

We bought this book on recommendation from the other reviews, and it was spot on for our 3 year old! We love it so much that we are getting the others in the series.

My 19 month old daughter loves this book - particularly the page where the giants trousers fall down to reveal his pants! She picks this up again & again & is clearly delighted when we pick this to read.
My 3.5-year-old-daughter A-D-O-R-E-S it!! February 18, 2007 T. Vilaca (London) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
As mentioned by several reviewers, the story is consistent and very correct, full of education and good behaviour towards others around you - a great addition to any 2-5-year-old-child's development. However in addition, it also happens in stages, each new one full of charming characters, with compelling beautiful scenes. There is so much detail in each scene that every time you re-read, there is a new side-story to tell, which keeps an observing child as my daughter very curious to know what happens next. My daughter enjoys the inventing of the parallel characters, nothing to do with the core-story, like the daddy-cat fishing, then the kitty-cat, with mummy-cat by the tent, grilling a fish on the fire. I wish all books I bought my daughter, brought her as much enjoyment as this one.
