5 out of 5 stars Fantastic   July 25, 2008
A. M. Coote
A friend of mine bought me the first book (Narrow Dog to Carcassonne) as a birthday present. I've never read a book that made me laugh out loud so much. Brilliant. I was delighted to see the new book on sale and bought it immediately. I confess to saving it till I had time to sit down and really enjoy it. The stories and anecdotes are excellent, but it's the way the books are written that make them for me. Jim, the dog, is tremendous. The two books are fantastic and provide hours of pleasure. Thanks.

5 out of 5 stars outstanding   July 22, 2008
Mrs. R. B. Hunt (North Yorkshire)
This is a truly entertaining tale. Terry, Monica and Jim are so vividly described that you feel you are actually on the adventure with them. The breathless, 'run away' style of prose gives a real feel of each event so that you can enjoy the pace and activity in person. The amusing descriptions are delightful and the whole book is a wonderful read.

5 out of 5 stars An Excellent Read   July 20, 2008
Mrs. B. Lace (barrow-in-furness, cumbria United Kingdom)
After reading Narrow Dog to Carcassonne I was eager to read Narrow Dog to Indian River and I wasn't dissappointed. It was absorbing and humorous and made me laugh out loud at times. For anyone interested in Travel and/ or Canal Boating this is a must and would be an excellent holiday read. Terry, Monica and Jim are an intrepid trio and I hope there is more to come. B. Lace

5 out of 5 stars I didn't want it to end.....   July 17, 2008
M. MCLEAN (Scotland)
As with Narrow Dog to Carcassonne - I didn't want this book to end. I looked forward to reading not too many pages every night (tried to spin it out longer). It is a joyful, easy and happy read which really captures the character and characters of the Deep South and their strange but hospitable ways. Good Luck and thanks to the crew of the Phyllis May - I am looking forward to your next journey!

5 out of 5 stars really good read   July 1, 2008
Joan Cecil (Gloucestershire UK)
Having enjoyed the first (Carcassone)book so much, I was apprehensive while waiting for this follow-up - they are sometimes disappointing . Not so with Terry, he has the knack of making you feel that you are travelling along with him, and always has a vein of humour running through, even when telling of daunting events. A really good read - my preference for "Carcassone" is just my love of France, this book is equally as good.Next please, Terry!
