Total Chaos!!! February 21, 2008 holdyourlight (Greece) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
For those of you who have played the first Rhem, Rhem 2 is one of the same, only MORE. More chaotic, more difficult, bigger, longer, more puzzles, more complex puzzles, and so on. But is it better? Well, define "better". This is really up to you to decide. I would choode Rhem for its exterior enviroments, but I would choose Rhem 2 for all the "mores" I described above. For those of you who hadn't played the first Rhem: It's a CHAOTIC place (think of Riven, Schizm or Riddle of the Sphinx, only more), filled with lots of lots of logical puzzles in a non-linear gameplay, BUT with quite no storyline at all. Just places, and puzzles to get you to other places. The whole game takes place in a gigantic cave (hence the name), and there are no exterior places at all (which might be a drawback for a few). It's difficult. Not the most difficult game I've played (that goes for Schizm), but difficult enough to keep you busy. Did I mention this place is huge? There are puzzle clues eveywhere, so keep an eye.(But no pixel hunting is needed, which is good). I filled about 20 pages with notes, just to give you an impression. Overall, I really enjoyed Rhem 2 at least as much as Rhem, but I would like to know more about this world. Why didn't the creator put any story elements anyway? Anyway, recommended by me.
