4 out of 5 stars A great game   August 12, 2007

Virtua Tennis 3 is a fun game that really doesn't have that much competition (at least on the PC). It also has by far the best graphics of any sports game that I have ever seen.

As well as playing exhibition matches, there is a career mode, which lets you progress through the ranks to become the number one player. You can customize your player, and take part in many of the worlds major tournaments. I do have a few moans about career mode though. Firstly, while the players are licensed, the venues aren't- not a major problem but I'm a bit puzzled why they didn't get both. More importantly, the game starts far too easy- it takes at least half-an-hour of playing far too easy opponents to get any challenge what so ever, even if you turn the difficulty level up. There are also only 2 games in a match, meaning you can win one of the games 3 match tournaments in 5 minutes- it just doesn't feel like tennis!!

Finally with regards to another reviewer, it is possible to run this game on an average machine- I have an Athlon XP2800 with 512Mb RAM and a Geforce 7600 with 256Mb RAM. The game runs fine on medium graphics settings, and the graphics really are great!

I have a Xp computer with loads of ram and stuff. I loaded up the game and went onto quick play and the game shutdown. I read the back and it said you have to have a very good computer. I have now turned all the settings down to there lowest level and deleted some old games and now it works but in slow motion. DONT BUY IT IF U HAVE A SMALL COMPUTER!!!!
