Stop reviewing before its out July 19, 2008 Marius Johnsen Why do you review a game and give it 1 star before its even out?
Make your own conclusions after trying the game July 17, 2008 Experienced Gamer (UK) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Having read the reviews you can see a mix of fan-positive to hateful-negative - but not on what's to be implemented in WoTLK, but the WoW universe and game as a whole. I would suggest trying the game and WoTLK yourself and coming to your own conclusions - because whatever one person feels after playing the game you may experience something totally different. The number of subscribers speaks volumes in my opinion. Even those with negative opinions admit to spending weeks' worth of PLAYED hours in the game. The only time you'll find a single player or indeed, another MMO with as much survivability and addictiveness as WoW will be WoW2. However, always remember there's going to be players who have a lot more time on their hands then you do - and similiarly, vica versa. Don't play the game to be the best of the best (unless you want to of course, SK Gaming lot are a nice bunch) - play the game as you would any other - for your own enjoyment, set your own pace, in your own time, and don't feel like you have to "compete". The only people that will negatively affect you are the ones that boast about their own legendary lewt, or somehow make you believe you are underachieving if you haven't reached level 70 by now, or attained x y and z. But who cares what they think? Enjoy the game in your own way, and then once you feel you're ready to move on, you won't be a hater - you'll treat it just like any other game you've enjoyed and put away in the cupboard... if you ever do. Don't ruin the game for yourself by letting others ruin it for you - it's a big WoW community, and although there are even bigger egos out there, you'll always have the blissful /ignore button. Choose your friends wisely - and you're guaranteed a great gaming experience without the hate factor on quitting.
Here we go again... July 15, 2008 Mr. A. Rogers (England) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Yep. Another ten more levels for my 70 Rogue. Ten more levels of doing some interesting quests, some flat out boring quests, even some quests that may make me smile. Ten more levels of being ganked by level 80 nerds who got there about a week after the release of the expansion, and already have gear from arathas or whatever the hell the lich king is called. (I mostly get ganked because, yes, i am a Gnome) And when i hit 80 i will do a few raids, get some decent gear then after a few months retire my rogue. Then, who knows? I might roll a DK. Lalalalalala.... Dum-de-dum-de-dum. Tralalalalala....Weeeee boing.
its a great game dont judge before its out! :) July 7, 2008 Kacey B. Sherrard (England) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Eh im so confused about what some people are putting about this game....i mean yeah its not even out yet and your condredicting it? and woah your saying that the content on WOTLK looks worse than BC?! What?! your kidding right ? you take one look at it and all the new stuff and the hero class and you think theres no way im not playing that....the expansions are games on their own its not repeitive as it does have a plot which changes. BS was carrying on the plot of Illidan while WOTLK will be adding a new plot to Arthas. No its wont just be some random quests the quests are designed especially in WOTLK to carry on the story they are alot more interactive blizz says and will be very interesting to play. You will want to know the end. There that interactive rather than you only seeing Illidan by going on a 40 man raid in a dungeon you see him on one of the first quests! :PAnd people moaning that their gear is worthless well would you rather it stay at lvl 70 for the rest of your life wth the same gear and become incredibly bored? i think not! Noting the gear you will get from quests and drops will be better than the ones you have now anyway so will be just as easy to get better gear. maybe not pvp gear but its a start besides you had to go from season 1 to 4 and get new gear....so complaining isnt an option. Yes wow is addictive...actually i wouldnt even call it addictive. Why do you play a game alot? You play it alot because its 'fun'. The fun never stops it carries on changing. And to those people who dont like lvling, like i said before theyve made lvling fun and with the deathknight you get to create at lvl 55 :P, aparently there making sure playing that class will be fun too just because of its abilities. i've seen like 5 and they are awsome , there not even the best ones... so dont moan about getting to 80 it'll be a ride in the park or will seem like it by all the fun your having. besides if anything pvp is repetitive. In all BGs or arenas its all the same things over and over again. I should change the subject here lol. Look personally i think that blizz constantly changing wow is a good thing why wouldnt it be....if it was the same everyone would get bored and leave and play warhammer or eve or something (never play everquest *cough* : P jk). So dont judge this game when you obviously dont have a clue about it and i assure any person who hasn't played wow yet and may think of getting wow its definitely worth getting and if you dont you'll be kicking yourself in the back later on for not getting it. And before you say it im not an addict i play like 2-4 nights a week for like 2 hours (sometimes) and lately im bored so ive only gone on for an hour a week which is why i badly want WOTLK to come out. Its gonna be great . Definately buy this game. sorry for the long review.
here we go again! July 2, 2008 buffler (uk) 3 out of 12 found this review helpful
i WAS a complete wow addict from day one, 5 days raiding a week, cleared MH/BT had almost full t6 on mah mage (i was guild master too) and then comes along sunwell plateau patch. grrrrr, all this achieves is giving non-commited gamers easier opportunities to get good gear without doing much, so i quit, and it was just in time cos wotlk is being released to yet again accomadate non hardcore gamers, i think blizzard need to remember where their bread and butter lays. They have got where they r today because of the hardcore gamers from starquest and diablo series......they have truly lost sight of what they r doing......on that note i wont be giving wow wotlk more than one star as i h8 what wow has become....w8 till new starcraft comes out soon, that will be a pure masterpiece!
