not so golden! June 1, 2008 D. A. Pollard (bradford, uk) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
my daughter bought this game with x-mas money, this is what she wants to say, over to you maisie!!!! i am on chapter three and i can't seem to get any further i am ten years old and i would recommend you to be older to play this game.My seventeen year old brother is very good at gaming, but at times he was scratching his head. Its really boring because all you can do is jump and duck.I am trading it in for something more entertaining. On the first day i was bored out of my head!!! hope this is some help to you!
This one is pretty good... May 3, 2008 Mr. R. Bragg (UK) in case you've seen my other reviews for DS games and thought I hate them all. The graphics really aren't bad considering the size of screens and the platform. The game play is also not to bad and the plot is good and long enough to keep you going for quite some while. Even when finished you can go back for extra hidden bits or try levels at a harder setting. On the downs, Sometime manouvers require too much precision and then the collision detection with enemies is more rough. Mrs Coulters golden monkey appears too often. Using the altheomometre (sp) is fun for a while then too repetative. Need to be able to simply select a pattern you know and have it auto dialled.
Oh Dear! April 19, 2008 Michael Watson (Cornwall) I have to agree with a previous reviewer, really boring. I think I attempted this for about 5 minutes and just became so mind numbingly bored with the game I have given up and tucked it away, probably for good. Graphics are appalling, game play is tired. I think though that it will appeal to younger players, my son (7) is enthralled with it, but for us old duffers it's a no-no. Stick to Brain Training.
Could have been much better February 11, 2008 Speedster (Edinburgh, Scotland) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I have only played 2 levels in this game (well, I am stuck on the Jordan roof as my jumping finger became tired)and it isn't very good. There are no regular save points so when you actually turn off the game whilst in a chapter you have to start it all again! (Am I missing something here?) The graphics could have been a lot better and I have hardly used the touch screen. The best thing is the relationship between Lyra and Pan - they can take turns in leading or tell each other to wait or follow. You can change Pan into different forms to help Lyra and this I have enjoyed. I guess I need to perserve a little more, but I am frustrated at the repetitive button punching at the moment.
Surprisingly Shocking! February 8, 2008 J. HIND (Mansfield, Notts. UK) I was bought this game for Christmas, I only got as far as level two and gave up with boredom! Not inmpressed at this attempt of a game!
