Good fun but spoiled by ........ May 12, 2008 Loopingstar (London UK) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
........ the tedious boss battles in the one player career mode . I've spent hours and hours just trying to beat Slash on the medium level and it's just become annoying now - I can't really see people playing this after Rock Band gets released - but there's still fun to be had here with multiplayer and plenty of downloadable songs .
Highly Addictive April 16, 2008 T. Williams (Yorkshire) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this game for my partner's birthday as he had been wanting it for a while. We had never played any of the previous guitar hero games so werenot totally sure what to expect. We were definately pleasantly surprised as it is great fun. The wireless guitar is definately a plus, the songs on there are great. The guitar battles are great fun especially when you are actually playing against someone in the co-op mode. Well worth buying!

i don't have the game but the song 'slither' (velvet revolver, awesome song), that featured on the ad isn't on the track list
Brilliant 5 star game- but guitar can break March 10, 2008 Mr. Paul Holmes (uk) This game is brilliant- a 5 star game. It never gets boring and is very difficult, even to the newcomer on easy difficulty. However, whilst the harder levels seem impossible at first, practise makes perfect and your fingers seem to learn how to move with muscle memory. I watched someone at my local gamestation knocking out the tracks at nearly 100% on expert difficulty and if you have played the game and know how difficult it is, this is really an awesome sight. Also something to aspire to with practise. However, the guitar is faulty in design. Where the arm clicks into the body, there are some metal connections. However, the arm does not grip solidly and has some slight movement where it connects into the guitar body. Over time, this means the connections don't quite always touch, and some of the buttons may intermittantly stop working! This is a major design flaw, as reported extensively on the internet. And with this game if a button lets you down, you might as well not bother. Hopefully Activision will or has resolved this design issue. I am ordering another copy so hopefully my next guitar will last. For this reason I have reduced my review to 3 stars- this simply should not have happened Activision!
Simply brilliant! March 10, 2008 D. J. Taylor (england) I first saw this fully when i was round my friends the other week and brought when i got paid, this game is very enjoyable and very addictive i have only had it 8 days and i have played at least 30 hours of it, there are some old classics in there by black sabbath, pearl jam, cream the list could go on and on, so i highly recommend it to anyone you 'll be hooked on it.
