4 out of 5 stars pleasantly surprised   July 6, 2008
Mrs. M. Laird (Lancashire, England)
Having read the reviews about this game I wasn't expecting much, but being a fan of lost i really wanted to play it and it may have been that I was preparing for the worst but I actually really enjoyed this game. True there wasn't much action but being more of a fan of point and click games this suited me just fine. I enjoyed the mix of puzzles and story telling. The graphics are really beautiful and the sound is brilliantly eerie. It would have been nice to have more involvement in the lost storyline which carries on around you but as described it is a new character with their own story which runs concurrently. There are some pretty cool elements for example the camp evolves as you play the game and the begining and end of the episodes and cutscenes are just like the tv series. Overall it is a pretty cool game

1 out of 5 stars Lost: The Plot   June 18, 2008
K. Roycroft (England)
Whoever decided this game was good enough for release is nuts. As a fan of video games and the Lost series, I was severely disappointed. The TV show builds suspense, develops the characters well and has re-play value. The game has none of this. The puzzles are way too simple, the character interaction is painfully dull, and the photography sub-scenes are just weird. Also, the plots from all the different seasons (1, 2 and 3 so far) seem to overlap in the game which is confusing and makes it all seem rushed. If you are a Gamerscore fanatic then rent this one and watch the points roll in, it seems that every time you finish a level or reach a checkpoint they just throw you some gamerpoints. There is no challenge to this game and it would be much more worthwhile to just sit down and watch the series.

4 out of 5 stars Only really for Lost fans   June 7, 2008
J.Sawyer (England)
I would only recommend this game for fans of the show, otherwise its a short and unenjoyable game. Gameplay is very short lived, but graphics are good and so is the sound, however character voices are not of those from the real actors themselves! Fans of the show can explore all the Dharma stations from the show and re-live some of the moments from the season (it cover upto to the end of season 2). Must-play for real lost fans, only rent if ur not really in to show and also probably the easiest game to get 1000 gamerscore on, i did it in a day!!

2 out of 5 stars Playable   May 28, 2008

I was drawn to this game by the assumption that it might have been a well rounded piece. But quite shortly after starting i realised how linear it was and left me feeling like i was playing a beta version. The game had some nice ideas with a lost feel to it but i only carried on throughout some repetitive tasks just to see if there was any hints into the lost world.

I wouldnt recommend buying this game, maybe download a demo and find out yourself if you would enjoy this.

2 out of 5 stars if you need a cure for insomnia, look no farther.   April 30, 2008

Before this game was realised i was filled with excitement about it and all the mysterious things we would get to see and do while playing it, sadly the only thing mysterious was how anyone could charge money for this. The graphics were quite good with the characters looking reasonably like their on screen counter parts, the only problem with the characters was the voices, some were brilliant (namely Desmond who was voiced by the actor off the show) some were dismall (almost everyone elses, especially Charlies when he sings).

As for the game as an enjoyable peice of entertainment, almost nothing could be farther from the truth, despite being in a jungle their is a clear and manditory path which you have to follow and the game resets itself if you venture too far from it. Most of the challenges which the game confronts you with are in the form of fuse boxes, the challenge isn't actually completing them it is just staying awake long enough. The black smoke is about as formidable as aaron (claires baby) and is easily undone by a tree and there isn't a polar bear in sight. Very disappointing.

The story line itself is terrible, and also told in a really bad way - trying to get the right picture is about as infuriating as threading a needle with a peice of really thick rope. There is no real character progression and all the really interesting bits from the show are ignored rather than being shown to us from a different veiw. Once i had finihed the game i was elated, for i knew i would never have to infect my xbox with this poison again. If you don't like lost but are intrigued by the game - don't bother going near it. If you love Lost - avoid it even more as you will be heart broken to see how bad this game is.
