 Stop Complaining May 11, 2008
OK So you are complaining about the brice but really you shoudl be complaining about Guitar Hero 70 for the game and a Guitar. Whili if you shop around for this you can pick up the game and controllers for 140. Just think how much the guitars cost seperatey in guitar hero to get a 4 player match in that you would have to spend about 200 so i would say that this is a bit of a bargain plus has more variety.

As great as this game is, I think we should all boycott it.
You guys in the UK are complaining about 100 pounds price point, well try the Euro-zone, in Ireland I got a quote of 160 euro (about 130 pounds) for this pack WITHOUT the game.

EA's greed has cost them a sale as I wont buy at this price. I loved Guitar Hero and was really looking forward to this release. However I won't pay this inflated price, no doubt some of you will and when you do it will confirm to EA that they can charge you any price they like for their future releases and you will still pay. It isnt the amount, its the profiteering and a matter of principle.

Ok,
1) Yes the game is overpriced
2) To all the people saying 'ye well games always cost more in europe' well of course, everything costs more here but rock band should not cost more by this much, maybe 20 more
3) To all the people saying 'nobody buy the game until the price drops it is so overpriced' stop moaning. Yes the game is overpriced, but not by THAT much. If people can afford it and will enjoy it then they should buy it.
4) Think about it:
Game: 40
Guitar 40
Drums 50
Mic 10
That adds up to 140, the same price amazon will sell everything to you for.
5)It is an AMAZING GAME
CONCLUSION
Yes the whole game set is a bit overpriced at 140, but the game is very very fun and do you really expect all the peripherals to cost a tenner?
Rock band was always going to be costly due to all the components needed. If you will really enjoy the game and play it a lot, it is worth it. If you are gonna play it once, then keep it shoved in the back of the room for the next 5 years, don't buy it. Simple as that.

When have the UK EVER had a product released that has had a massive hike up in price compared to our international cousins?
NEVER.
Why anyone expected any different this time around I'm not sure...
That said, the game is fantastic. I have an imported version on my PS3 but I love it so much I'm planning to buy an Xbox 360 & Rock Band when its released so I can play with my friends on-line. Three of my friends have already bought an Xbox in preparation of the Rock Band release. Yes thats right. They only bought an Xbox to play Rock Band. Factor in the cost of that purchase & it brings the whole Rock Band experience to roughly 300. After playing the game all three of them were happy to pay this price.
