Product Description Nintendo DS Lite offers all of the unique features of the Nintendo DS but also includes a variety of distinctive changes which truly sets it apart from other handheld consoles. Nintendo DS Lite retains the advanced touch screen technology, allowing players to control software with a stylus or even their finger, as well as dual screens, voice recognitionand Wi-Fi capabilities of the Nintendo DS but is now both smaller and lighter. The Nintendo DS Lite will become the new edition to Nintendo's video game family when it launches on 23rd June 2006. Dual Screens open up new possibilities - use the touch screen as an inventory reference for role-playing games, to view maps for your favourite strategy game, or see racing action from two perspectives at once Navigate menus or access inventory items simply by touching the screen with stylus or fingertip Tough film over touchscreen protects it Advanced 3D graphics engine and 16-channel audio, for graphics and Sound that are superior to other portable game systems All-new PictoChat feature allows DS users to write messages with an on-screen Keyboard or the stylus and send them wirelessly Built-in Microphone port for voice control of games, or for voice chat with other DS players Less than two-thirds the size of the original Nintendo DS More than 20 percent lighter than original DS 4 adjustable brightness levels to extend battery life Repositioned microphone and LED lights Stylus has been redesigned--now 1cm longer and 1mm thicker Repositioned start and select buttons

The new ds colours are really lovely but i think the red stands out much more and is really better than the rest ! Being a tennager who has had the old silver ds not a ds light the clearness of the screen is just amazing and i love they way you can change they lightness of the comsole. The ds comsole is about the best handheld console you can buy with the range of games with it my family and I lovee the Brain Training and mostly ever other game there is! Over all the ds is a brillent console and if you don't have one you should seriouly think of getting one!
Brilliant August 23, 2008 a lovely shiny red and superb quality. touch screen works really well and games are adapted to it well. true fun for hours and it wont run out of battery quickly. an essential buy.
Lovely Colour! August 7, 2008 A. L. Hollingsworth (North Wales) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I am so glad they have extended the colour range of the DS Lite. My children have the pink version because at the time of purchase there wasn't much choice. When I decided to get my own I chose a red one as it's my favourite colour and I wasn't disappointed when it arrived!!! It is a lovely shade of red, and now funnily enough my 10 year old keeps using my DS over her pink one because she thinks it's 'smarter' than hers. Has all the features you'd expect. The other colours look great too!
Fabulous bright, shiny red July 2, 2008 Jo Public (UK) 15 out of 16 found this review helpful
This new colour is a fabulous bright, shiny red and looks great. Was worried the colour may be a bit orangey or pinkish but it's not at all. It looks sleek, glossy and cool. This is easy to use, light to carry and the fully charged battery lasts for around 16 hours when set on low screen brightness. The two screens are really handy as it saves flipping back and forth between modes as in some GBA games or adds extra elements in others. The touch screen is fun and adds an extra dimension to game-play over the gameboy advance. The wi-fi connectivity allows game play with friends and connection to the internet to play with other Nintendo gamers. There is a calendar, a clock and an alarm. It has built in stereo speakers and a microphone socket. Overall I think it is excellent value for money (these days) and great fun to use.
