4 out of 5 stars Nice board game!   August 14, 2002

This is exactly like playing a board game, only more fun as it is enhanced by nice graphics. I have only had a go at it against the computer, but I imagine it should be much more fun if there are 4 friends with GBA that play against each other. Once you figure it out it certainly becomes adictive. Easy way to pass the time, especially if you are not into the more complicated action/killing games. Of course there is the waiting you have to go through until your turn comes, but that's how board games are - you have to wait for your turn. However, this game is not boring because it is fun to watch what is happening to the opponents and mini games often occur on somebody else's turn that involve all the other players as well. So you end up interacting even when it is not your turn. With 3 levels of difficulty. Not such a bad game to own.

Rubbish just about sums up this game. The graphics are terrible the game takes for ever to run through the computers go and the gems always seem to be in the same places. The only saving grace is the mini games which are quite good. Don't choose this buy something else like Disney's Donald Duck Advance.

2 out of 5 stars Fantastic for kids...   October 13, 2001

After playing this game I can immediately say that although it has superb novelty value, this game is definitely one for the kids. This is definitely a game aimed at fairly young children or those who like very easy, simple games, rather than the adult or teenager who likes cartoons.

The idea behind the game is that Tweety one day wandered off into the woods, opened a box he found (which incidentally Grandma had locked a wicked witch in years ago and hidden in the woods so no-one would find it) and unleashed a 'curse' that would turn him to stone unless 5 magic gems could be found - these would stop the curse and return Tweety back to normal... only trouble is the 5 gems are spread randomly all over the world!

To play the game you chose one of six characters (including Sylvester, Porky Pig, and Yosemite Sam). You then chose how many opponents you would like (this game can be played multi-player or against the computer).

The game is much like a board game - you pick a card to determine how many spaces you move and you chose your route around the map with the hope of collecting the power of all 5 gems before one of your opponents.

On your travels, if you land on certain spots on the map you can play a mini game against all your opponents to earn credits. The mini games are quite fun - kind of frantic button bashing moments. You can then use these credits in shops to purchase things that may help you to collect the power of the gems first - such as 'Spade Boots', which when played make your opponent unable to remove until the card he draws is a spade.

In the end, no-one really wins as whoever collects the power from all the gems first, Tweety and Grandma thank everyone who played, and say things such as 'Well done Sylvester - you collected the power of all the gems first'... then 'Well done Bugs Bunny, you travelled the furthest' etc. etc.

So, to conclude, I'd say this game is great if you're looking for something you can start and finish in under an hour - it is probably especially good for younger kids - they'll enjoy the characters and probably the plot and style of the game. But if you want a game that will take longer to complete or one with more action or thinking required then this is not for you...
