Missed potentialJanuary 4, 2002 Mr A Poland(London) 6 out of 12 found this review helpful
Few handheld games let you play as one of three characters. This does and does badly!
Platform games on the GBA are ten a penny so they need to be outstanding to keep you interested. Castlevania is far better than this.
To highlight the main faults to this game I'd start by saying the controls are un-responsive, the graphics similar to Gameboy Colour and the gameplay repetitive.
Avoid at all costs.
inspector gadget - lots of funJanuary 3, 2002 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
I was given a GBA for Christmas together with Inspector Gadget and am now having to fight my children to get a go on it. The game is very entertaining. You can play as one of three characters, Gadget, Penny (a small girl with great swimming abilities!)or Brains the dog who is a master of disguise. Plenty of different levels that I still have to explore and am looking forward to doing so when I get hold of the game again! Graphics are great with lots of "enemies" to bash over the head and items to collect. Especially like Gadget's ability to float through the air on his umbrella and his inflatable raincoat. All in all a great game for children and adults alike. Hope you all enjoy it as much as we are.
