Legendary Amiga Pinball on GBA July 20, 2002 10 out of 12 found this review helpful
Anyone who has played pinball on the Amiga will recognise these two classic titles Dreams and Fantasies. They have stood the test of time as wonderfully designed tables, Partyland perhaps being the greatest computer-based pinball table ever. Please feel free to ignore Muppets Pinball Mania and Pinball of the Dead as this title blows them out of the water. The only flaw I can see is the tilt being a little unpredictable. This is a pixel-for-pixel conversion of two of the best Amiga games ever.Pinball, as it should be.
Mega, mega Pinball July 15, 2002 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
For all Pinball enthusiasts this is the best game, ever for a handheld to be released. Taking the classic games from the Amiga and combining them for the GBA, is brilliant. The eight tables are varied and quite challenging, with bright colours and good sound. The only downer is the fact that you can't save your high scores, but then who cares? A very realistic Pinball game that is addictive once started...
Excellent Pinball....but July 7, 2002 Mr. J. R. Davidson (UK) 7 out of 10 found this review helpful
This is a good pinball game, but it does have some flaws. Lets look at the good points. There are eight tables to choose from all with excellent music, effects and very different strategies and layouts to master. The colours are bold and bright while the tables are big (the screen scrolls horizontally as well as vertically). Everything is as it should be for a good pinball game with lots of features and tasks to complete. So thumbs up there! Now lets look at the bad stuff. There are no multiball features on any of the tables, the tilt function only seems to work very occasionally, and there is no battery save for the high scores which, in my opinion, ruins the whole game. Surely the aim of this game is to score more points than last time and if there is no record of how you did last time whats the point of playing?? Muppet pinball is a better alternative featuring everything this game lacks, less tables though.
