THIS GAME IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! September 19, 2008 L. Sefton (UK) OMG!!! 1st things 1st...BUY THIS GAME! This is going to sound completely mad, but I got DS for my birthday a 3 years ago, i have 8 games, including all the ones that are advertised as 'the best', I have pokemon silver, ruby and pearl...and this is still the best damn game I have EVER played! It's just a small, black cartridge of gaming genius! Like i said, i have 8 games (+ all the ones I have bought and sold) and after every single 1 of them, I have completed them, I have put them aside, and I just HAVE to pick this one back up again! Just a brief description, all you have to do is use basic pinball controls to bounce the pokeball around a small areana. Through doing this, you can capture pokemon, evolve pokemon, play mini-games, collect points and coins and even grab super hard rare pokemon like Jirachi (although i still haven't managed it!). The really weird thing is, that after all these years, I still get the same thrill from beating my high-score, or capturing a new pokemon that i do when i switched it on for the first time! I know alot of people might say it is past its sell by date, but this really is a terrific game, and so far, I haven't found a game (GBA or DS) that can match it! 5 *'s in an understatement, i'd give it 500!
Pokemon Fans Not March 24, 2008 S. Ramsey Purchased this on the weight of the reviews here and have not been disappointed. We have never watched or played anything to do with Pokemon but because we are avid pinball fans took the chance. Everything said here in reviews is true. This is an extremely enjoyable and addictive game. Confusing for non-pokemon fans but worth sticking with. Particularly like the fact you can save at any time by pressing 'start' and following the options.
The best pinball game on any handheld EVER May 4, 2005 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is one of the best if not the best pinball game I have ever played and in my humble opinion the best pokemon spin off so far. Its like a very well designed pinball game with a twist, there's 200 crazy critters to catch. This game is a must for any pokemon fans, and in fact a must for any fans of anything i think that anyone would have a hard time topping this little beauty. this isnt like the first pokemon pinball, this on fells right it feels like god wants you to play. It has some really good bonus boards and an amazing save feature. If you are going on holiday or just have some spare cash this is the game for you. You can just pick up and play. This is the best GBA game for under a tenner so buy you crazy cats buy like there is no tomorrow.

A highly addictive and enjoyable GBC rendition! February 5, 2004 16 out of 16 found this review helpful
I came across the original Pokemon Pinball game (which was released on the Gameboy Color a few years back) in a bargain bin and snapped it up! It was a good enough game but was slightly hampered by the fact that you were unable to see the whole pinball table all in one complete screenshot, so it became a real headache trying to follow the pinball. Pokemon Pinball Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire on the Gameboy Advance was then released and I think Nintendo have done sterling work with this rendition of the original. Gone is the old problematic screenshots, and in with the new. Now you are able to see the whole pinball table which glides smoothly up and down as the ball spins off various obstacles. No more headaches! Like the GBC version, the purpose of the game is to catch various Pokemon (there are over 200 to catch and collect) from two pinball tables - the Ruby table and the Sapphire table. There isn't a vast difference between the two, but like in the Pokemon adventure games, you can only catch certain pokemon from the Ruby pinball table and vice-versa. All in all this is a highly polished game and is incredibly addictive. It's not just the collecting of the pokemon (which is a reasonable challenge in itself), but also the smooth handling and control of the pinball tables that make this game such a joy to play. If you're after a decent pinball game - go for Pokemon Pinball Ruby & Sapphire, regardless of whether you're a Pokemon fan because you won't be disappointed.
