Very disappointing and too easy! January 24, 2004 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
Graphically this looks very nice, but it is just the same old stuff (which if it were like the N64 games would not be a bad thing) only made *way* too easy. The game is easily completed in a short amount of time. Very disappointing.

As a platform games fan I must admit to being pleased to see a game released with the GBA in mind. Rare have produced a game which suits the GBA perfectly and creates a near 3D effect. It brings back many of the features from it's 64-bit prequel. It has most of the moves and even more items with an enhanced Mumbo layout. It is only the ability to fly that it lost. I was hugely impressed by the way in which they managed to get so many of the N64's moves onto it's handheld counterpart. For gamers who are experienced with this variety of games they will enjoy the fun while it lasts ,however they may be disappointed with the lack of depth in the game and will find the levels over rather too quickly. It is however a welcome change from the 2D platforms that have been posted previously on the GBA, and I only hope that Nintendo can analyse the success of this title and look to create a Mario game of similar specifications produced for the GBA.
Good game; Over far too soon.... November 3, 2003 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
Banjo Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge is practically a perfect copy of the N64 games from the late 90's, with all of the moves, characters and fun squashed down and squeezed onto your gameboy. Why have I only given it three stars? Because I managed to complete the game on a six-hour car journey! With only six levels, the game is over far too soon, and many accomplished gamers should be able to complete the "tasks" required in these levels in a matter of hours. 25-30 for six-hours of fun seems a bit steep to me...The game has been due a release for around the last two years, and it seems a little strange that it's over so soon. A fantastic looking and extremely playable game, but it plays so well that you'll have seen all it's had to offer in little over a day or so. More levels and a greater difficulty next time, maybe?
THE BEST GAME EVER< A MUST HAVE FOR 2003 October 29, 2003 4 out of 8 found this review helpful
This game is excellent i purchased it the date of release i think the grafics are excellent it has all the moves and sounds. The annoying bird has been captured at the start and it is a adventure to get it back to continue with the rest of the game. However i think that 6 levels are not enough because i am on the 6th level (ice something) but i won't be able to complete it because i am rubbish at getting the puzzle pieces. I THINK ThIS GAME IS THE BEST ONE YET AND HOPE SOON ANOTHER WILL BE RELEASED!
BANJO STILL RULES October 23, 2003 Ms. Michelle Ilkiw 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
As soon as i saw the screenshots of this game i knew i'd like it, but now i've got it after two years of waiting i think its the best game on the advance. The graphics are bright, colourful and beautiful. There are six worlds, filled with puzzles, enemies and bosses, they look really good and are filled with detail. Most items from the old games have returned including eggs, notes, jinjos and jiggies as well as some new ones. The storyline is very different from the last two games and will sometimes confuse younger gamers. Instead of the main overworld been gruntys lair and isle o hags, they've put spiral mountain in thier place, its bigger and more challenging than it was in the last two games. The music is good as well, you'll recognise most of the tunes, you'll get to hear the spiral mountain tune, the isle o hags tune and grunty's lair tune as well as others. If you love the gameboy advance and want a good, new game to add to your collection, get this, you won't regret it.
