1 out of 5 stars Appallingly bad.   November 3, 2007

I can't believe anyone would give this game a good review! Thank goodness I only bought it used because it was very expensive when it was first released.
How bad is it? As the game loads you will see a picture of a blue smurf; the smurf is in fact a dementedly bad drawing of Dark Magician. When you complete the game (which took me a grand total of 2 1/2 hours and I didn't even have the instruction manual)you will be rewarded with a closing scene that consists of a black background and the words "Congratulations You Won"..and that's your lot.

The game itself is very random and the difficulty is introduced almost entirely by the CG opponent being automatically given 10x more attack points and 10x more movement points than you. This game has NOTHING to do with the show, the original manga or even the card game.

I got 'Dungeon Dice Monsters' for Christmas and at first I found it a bit weird but after I got the hang of it and read the instructions fully I really got into it.
The gameplay is like this: you play on a board with one little man at each end on 1 square repersenting you, you have 3 lives.
the only way you can take off these lifes is by putting a monster up the opponents end and attack opponent, put a monster out by throwing dice and if certain sides match up you lay a monster-sound easy but remember your monster has to touch you or one of your other monsters AND you can only attack, move, defend when you get sides on dice face up.
Right now that that's over here's the ghaphic paragraph:as it's on a board game the monsters don't move but slide to their destination(except for the flying and tunelling types) and as the monsters are figures on the board they don't move(except the flying type as they hover just above ground).
READ THIS IT IS REALLY IMPORTANT!You can only battle in the tournament were you choose a tournament, battle 4 people then get prize money and get a monster after every battle or free duel were you battle people you have already beaten and only get a monster after every battle. Do not assume as I did that there are only about 7 tournaments as after you beat them there's more futher down and more after that!
That's the main things so - GET BUYING THIS GAME!!!

4 out of 5 stars a let down from the show but still good   October 26, 2003

i saw the episode a wanted this game straigt away so i got it on EBAY i got it and played it. some of the rules are different from in the show and it is quite hard to get along with. once i found out what i was doing and realised that the dice had to be the same level to get a summon 0_o i got into it and it was a fun game after that.

2 out of 5 stars A bit of a let down   October 10, 2003

I was expecting another great game like yu-gi-oh worldwide edition but this isnt what i got. It's nothing like the great Dungeon Dice Monsters episodes on tv.
The graphics are ok in game but the battle sequences are not the best. The gameplay is you roll 3 dice and occasionally you get 3 that match so you can lay a monster down and whilst your waiting for this your opponent is already half-way down the board getting towards your 3 hearts.

The good point is that it has characters from the actual tv show but other then that its a bit of a stinker.
All in all not what I'd expect from a yu-gi-oh game.
