This light works!! April 13, 2002 16 out of 17 found this review helpful
THE solution to the GBA light probrem. The two floodlights can be pivoted independently left and right (when the magnifier is removed) maximising light and eliminating glare. The magnifier isn't the conventional convex design; it's thin, corrugated and distorts the view, but is easily removed and replaced depending on your preference. I generally don't like magnifiers. The light has been descibed by some as blue but I think it is an excellent white light, similar to daylight, as opposed to the poor yellow light on some other GBA accessories, domestic light bulbs etc. The plentiful light really brings out the quality of screen and programming. There is no battery strength indicator, so eye-strain may be the first indication that power is failing, but battery life is quite good (equal or greater than the GBA itself). It clips securely around the back of the GBA, the lights can be folded flat when not in use and it looks good. The extra battery bulk may make it incompatible with other accessories or storage cases (my logic3 pro case needed some modification). I think there may be a rechargeable version of this product.
SUPER LIGHTS January 27, 2002 9 out of 12 found this review helpful
It lights up from both right and left sides, in WHITE colour! If you want to play but do not want to strain your eyes, then this may be what you are looking for. Though it's a bit expensive compared with others, but it's worth the money. Personally, i think it works better without the magnifier but overall it's really one of the innovative GBA accesories.
