If you played 'Prince of Persia-Sands of Time' You know what to expect, great puzzle orientated gameplay with an excellent combat system to boot, blessed with great graphics and vast landscapes. If you did'nt play the predecessor you are still in for a treat. This game is essentially an action/puzzle game, you play the role of the prince, who is being hunted by a seemingly unstoppable creature who is hell bent on you destruction. Not wanting to take it lying down the prince begins his quest to find a way of changing his inevitable fate.
After an explosive begining (also act's as a tutorial) the prince finds himself on an island which is in ruins. This adds to the game as it is you're task to succsessfully navigate through each area using the princes many acrobatic abilities, to jump to ledges, swing from ropes and bound off of poles, to reach the goal. Along the way you WILL have to utilize you're brain to spot ways through each area which will not immediatly be so oblvious to you.
But to mix things up there are plenty of enemys who will do their best to stop you which is where this games fluid and visually impressive combat system comes into play. There are LOTS of weapons and even more different combinations as you can choose what to hold in each hand to make different combinations, Eg have you're favourite blade in one hand and a powerful but slow axe in the other, or you could choose a short ranged weak dagger but benifit from great speed and manouveribilty, there are combos for each set of weapons and all this fighting is garnished with some ultra stylish slow motion matrixesque camera play to show off the beutiful (if not gruesome) finishing moves.
A very fun experience, which should keep you going for 15-20 hours the first playthrough. And a few nice secrets to add a bit of life afterwards. Enjoy.
