Ever so slow..... June 8, 2008 Katie (Reading) Ok well basically I will go through the bad points first: 1.) The loading times take forever and my sim died because it took so long to get it out of bed! 2.) You cannot have babies, pets, marriages ect this game is about completing missions and building friendships 3.) The sound effects don't match up with the pictures, does this happen to anyone else ? 4.) The tunes are really boring and you definetly won't be humming them because they are so not addictive 5.) It is nothing like the PC Version These are the good points: 1.) If you are bored of the whole Job, Family, Kids aspect of The Sims 2 then this is cool. 2.) The aspiration's change all the time 3.) The graphics are ok I suppsoe 4.) The hairstyles are awesome and clothes are good 5.) It is slightly strange but in a alright way Lol. Just remember that if you are vry patient and like completing goals then this game is for you but if you like the kids and family part of The Sims and are very impatient then maybe this game is not for you.
Fun at first, but... April 24, 2008 Jon (North Wales) I am a big Sims fan. When I first played on the Sims 2 on PSP, my initial reaction was that it had good graphics, the create a sim mode was decent enough and it had an interesting storyline. However, as I gradually played through the game, I was losing interest in the game. Why? Firstly, the loading times are absolutely terrible! It can take anything up to 30 seconds for your Sim to take any action! And when talking to a Sim (it's like a minigame - you have to press the right buttons in order to sucessfully advance a friendship level with that Sim) the loading times can get annoying and may cost you points and therefore fail in advancing friendship level. Another problem with this game is the buy mode. It's not the content I'm criticising. As you can save your game on the PSP memory stick, I was assuming that I was able to place as many items as possible and that when I bought more items to put in the Sim's house, it would just simply take up more of the memory. But no. There is a limit to what you can put in your house. It's a big house as well and the limit makes your house look empty. The game makers might as well not have bothered putting in some of those rooms! So to sum up, it could've been a great game if it wasn't for the long loading times.
The Sims has lost its touch! April 8, 2008 Mr. D. J. Dear (Essex) I borrowed this game off a friend, but it really wasnt what i was expecting! The previous Sims games on PC allow you to build houses and furnish it etc. This one has boring storylines and you cant build your own house, this time your just in a home which you obtain from the storyline and its very boring and its not hard at all, its just finding who your talking to and thats it, theres no imgination required, this game really is poor, it also doesnt take long to complete. Very dissapointed! On the Xbox version you can customise more and build your own house, its really lame that you cant do this here, the storyline is woeful as well.
Very good game, good for all ages August 2, 2007 Vikki Brion (London UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Ive only had this game a few days now and its very fun and easy to control. First of all you can create your player pretty much the same as the p.c version. then you start off the game in your car and it breaks down. you push the car all the way to a garage which is in strange town. you give your car over to a very rude mechanic and then you go to the shop next door to speak to the shop keeper. after you speak to the shop keeper you go to get your car and it has vanished along with the mechanic AND the whole garage. You then go back in the store and Bella goth sells you her home for all the change you have on you. Then you speak to the cop outside the shop for a lift to your new home. It is a huge house where you can buy all the usual things and place them wherever you wish. There is only one problem with this house. It's HAUNTED. You have to go on a quest to find all of the ghosts body parts so you can burry them and the ghost will leave your home and you will be ghost free. I think that this game has all the graphics from the p.c game and is a very fun game. Graphics 5 out of 5 Sound 5 out of 5 Game play 4 out of 5 (The loadings are a little slow) Overall 5 out of 5 I recommend this game to people who love the p.c version of this game and to people who like mission games. Lots of love Vikki x
Must have game! April 10, 2007 Nikk7 (London, England) 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
Great game, very addictive! The only drawback which can be frustrating at times is the game slows down to load to up even in the middle of the smallest tasks and this makes time spent playing the game longer than it should be. I have other psp games which don't exhibit the same problems mid-game. Its still a great game though.
