5 Does what it says, but.... July 3, 2008 Pieter Stoaling (Barcelona) It works, however, don't ever be expecting to use it as a spare battery. Your PSP will not boot into the menu using this battery, it is ONLY for service mode. But with your custom firmware on the PSP... Never another worry about buying a game ;)
Allows a Novice to enter the world of Custom Firmware June 27, 2008 S. Doherty (Northern Ireland) I bought the standard tool battery when I needed the slim battery, but I was still able to use it by using elastic bands to hold the battery in place while the Firmware installed. It's great if you want a reliable tool battery, but don't want to risk destroying your own battery. A note of warning: you need to have the "magic memory stick" to allow the battery to do anything other than show a blank screen. There are many different ways of creating this stick, which can be found on google.
Datel Max Power Tool Battery June 18, 2008 Craig Beach (uk) I purchased one of these and it says in the instructions please charge first, however the battery would not charge it said charging so i left it on for a couple of hours and the battery life was still 0% (amazon have sent me a replacment out so lets hope it works)
GREAT May 28, 2008 Ozi Harman (uk) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
DELIVERED EARLY,HELPED ME A LOT.PEOPLE THAT ARE LOOKING TO BUY IT DONT HESSITATE! DONT LISTEN TO THEM PEOPLE. YOUR BATTERY MAY NOT BE PANDORA COMPATIBLE(PANDORA PROOF) SO THIS IS THE BEST THINGS TO BUY! SO HAPPY
Not needed May 22, 2008 Dragonf4ce (UK) It says what it does on the tin really.Well box, it enables service mode. You do not however need this to make a pandora battery, any PSP battery can do it, and can be changed back again to a normal one (software available). You need to get software also to make a pandora magic memory stick otherwise the battery does nothing. For anybody who does not no what a pandora is, Google it for a in depth explanation. It basically puts your PSP into service mode which enables the manipulation of firmware to run homebrew ect... The tool is useful if you need to unbrick your PSP though, if it all goes horribly wrong when messing with firmware. My only gripe is there are no useful instructions (obviously a legal thing) and the fact you are paying for something, you can actually do yourself with a little research. And you are going to have to research to get it to work anyway!
