Good balance of usability and functionality January 28, 2007 M. Armstrong (West Sussex, UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My only 2 problems with this modeling game are the lack of British content (engines, static models etc are all German or American) and the limited land reforming tools (You can either do rather pointy mountains or straight ramps between two levels). The engines look and sound great, with realistic momentum and simple controls. Like traditional real-world modeling this "game" requires a little patience, so I'd suggest reading a few pages of the relatively thin manual before you start. Having said that, I had engines running on track over hills within an hour or so of starting out. You can start you own model from scratch, or choose from a variety of included models to see what can be done or play with the trains.
Total waste of money,No stars more like!!! January 9, 2007 A. B. Hinds I bought this program with idea of making a virtual prototype of a real model railway to save me using pens and paper and what a waste of time it turned out to be,firstly you have to download an english language patch from the website and then it is no better,I didn't know how to make a baseboard using feet and inches(only KM)!!!How big do you want it to be!!???I emailed their support the other day but am still awaiting a reply.I wish that I had left it on the shelf,in fact I'll take it back and get a refund this week.
Not a game November 29, 2005 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is not a game. It's a tool for designing a virtual model railway. It's not intuitive, but then it wouldn't be. What's disappointing is that it's a (badly) translated German product and trying to understand what the manual means is not easy. Maybe once I've got my head round it it may be interesting, but I'm also disappointed by the versions of rolling stock I've so far discovered which are(as you might expect from a German product)not British! I'm glad I only paid a heavily discounted price...makes the disappointment easier to bear.

Rubbish! July 1, 2005 15 out of 18 found this review helpful
This game is rubbish! its only for the experienced programmer because thats basically what the game is! programming! no way is it 12+! i'm 16 and i had to send it back cos it was too hard! there wasn't even a tutorial added! this is not a simulation game! you have to build the whole train world from scratch! nothing like the screenshots!
