NBA 2K7 WOW! June 17, 2007 Michael L. Jackson 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Ive played just about every basketball game going, but this game tops the lot. The realism is great, right down to the coaches and players on the sideline celebrating when you dunk or drain a three pointer to the accuracy in recreating the players to look just like there real life counterparts. If you are looking for a basketball game for the xbox 360 dont hesitate to buy this, you wont regret it!
Honkey Nba 2k7 March 10, 2007 Fillippo Basso (Stafford, UK) 2 out of 15 found this review helpful
Nba 2k7 on the xbox 360 is the exact same game as nba 2k6 on the xbox, except it has worse graphics, a foul menu system which is so annoying it could quite easily bring a grown man to tears through pure frustration. The 2k7 association mode is pathetic and graphics wise is no better than the original playstation. The create a player mode is so poor its amusing in a perverse way, no matter how hard you try it is impossible to create a player that doesnt look like a burns victim let alone look like yourself. This is mainly due to the fact that you have to decide whether your character has light or dark eye shadow, red or pale blusher, heavy or light mascara which just looks plain odd (do nba stars really wear makeup???)
To The None Basketball Fans. December 28, 2006 Rag Morton 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
Living in the UK its very difficult to be excited about basketball! And since a minor interest in NBA Live 97 ive found it difficult to be interested in basketball games. But NBA 2K7 changes all that. The game is just plain enjoyable. There is very little to NOT like. The AI is great, theres so many difficultys you are always challenged. The season mode is enjoyable if not lengthy, rather than playing 82 games a season u can opt for 64 32 or 16 approx. But for me the main thing is the presentation, mid match advertisements might seem lame but the realism is just great! At half time, an in depth review of whos under performing and whos "on fire" is interesting, accurate and enjoyable. Online is the mian focus of my play of late, and quite simply its the best i have seen. FIFA is my favorite game and surely is a favorite for those interested in purchasing this game, but the online play on this overshadows FIFA greatly, tournements see you enter 'a lobby' where when full, the tournement begins playing other online players, until there is an eventual winner. The best part being the private tourney, great for you and your mates. If you are even considering buying this game i urge you to, as a non basketball fan, i should know, its a sound gamble!!
A Solid Performance! November 5, 2006 Daniel Britton (UK) 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
Among mediocre choices for bball games, NBA 2K7 sets the bar - and high. This is by far the best basketball game on the street with nothing touching it. The gameplay (with a slight learning curve) is so realistic that when you pull off a realistic post move (a first in bball games) and get the foul you want to get up and clap. What really seperates this game from the rest are the amount of choices you have. If dont want to just play a season why not try the street mode, including one-on-one, or practice your free throws. Really the choices are endless. Simply put - the best basketball game available hands down.
One of the very best sports games titles around October 30, 2006 MisterDerp (Northampton, England) 11 out of 12 found this review helpful
One of the best basketball games ever made, NBA 2K7 captures the sport and its stars in a way that have not been achieved in past attempts. You've heard about the signature shots, but it's not just the way they captured the big names players that amazes me but rather the ones that are less well known. I think the bigger fan you are of the NBA and its players, the more you'll appreciate the fine touches like the way the teams rotate for help defense or how your star might flop while trying to draw a foul, even grabbing his face when it looks like he got swiped across the eyes. Association, 24/7, streetball, V.I.P., team-based tendencies, there is just so much to this game that is not only done right, but done above and beyond what any other sports game is offering right now, this is my early pick for Sports Game of the Year 2006.
