Awesome! July 12, 2008 M. Lawrance How is it like an expansion? New graphics, new game modes, new weapons/armour/camouflage, NEW STORY!!?? It is an excellent game, perfect for the tactical gamer. Highly recommend this game!
RSV2 - Very Good! July 6, 2008 C. Wilson I bought this game two weeks ago and since i don't own vegas 1, then it took me about an hour to get used to the controls. The game itself is great fun and i love customising my own character!! The story mode is fun but i think it could be a bit longer - like in COD4. Online, I am not very good at the moment because i only started playing online three days ago but i'll get better!!! The online play is fun and about as good as COD4 in the lobby. I like the way you can host, join and customise your game you want to play. There is a large range of gadgets and weapons which is good too. the game is also quite addictive. On the down side, if you play it too much you begin to get bored after playing for around 4 hours straight. For me though, the BEST part of the game is Terroist Hunt! I LOVE IT!! it is soooooo fun and i aim to complete every map and difficulty. RATINGS: Grapics: 9/10 Gamplay: 8/10 Adictivness: 9/10 Fun: 9/10 Online Play: 9/10
Absolutely brilliant! July 1, 2008 Navid (Manchester, UK) the game is just fantastic. RSV1 was probably the best tactical shooter out there, but this one! WOW! its even better than the first installment. i've played every FPS that you can think of, and yes, including COD4 (i've finished it 6 times :P), but this game is just in another league. although COD4 is good fun to play, RSV2 has got much more to deliver and the graphics are even better! Graphics:5/5 Storyline:3/5 Gameplay:5/5 Online:5/5 Overall:4.5/5 A must buy for all tactical FPS fans
Best Multiplayer Co-Op on XBox 360 June 21, 2008 Lee M. Bridson (UK) After months of online and single player Terrorist Hunts I achieved the rank of Elite having killed the equivalent of 40,000 bad guys on Realistic difficulty and I still really enjoy the game. The 4 player Co-op Terrorist hunt mode is the best co-op game on the 360 that I have ever played. If all team members are communicating efficiently via head sets then sweeping through a map on Realistic with High Enemy Density and clearing it of terrorists can be a very high octane event where teamwork is absolutely paramount to success. This is a seriously addictive game with thousands of skilled players online working together. Solo play or deathmatches etc are also good fun but this is best enjoyed in Terrorist HUnt.
Mortally wounded by Call of Duty 4 May 31, 2008 mssmith1 (UK) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
As a massive fan of the original R6 vegas (personally enjoying it far more that gears of war that was released at a similar time) I anxiously waited for the sequel, and not put off by the distinctly average reviews, bought it. The game remains fun and is a slight improvement over the first installment - better graphics, slightly better enemy AI and gameplay. That by itself, is not overly problematic, although does make me question how much such a slight improvement is worth in hard cash. The real problem however is that Call of Duty 4 has raised the bar so much, R6 now seems dated. Both the single player and definitely the multiplayer suffer in comparison. While R6 is a squad based tactical shooter, compared to COD's more traditional first person shooter dynamics, COD actually offers so much flexibility in its level design and gameplay, this distinction doesn't really (in my mind) excuse R6V2's failings. In my mind, if you only buy one shooter on the 360, at the moment (May 08), COD4 still reigns supreme. If you loved The first R6 Vegas game, and already have Cod4, then R6V2 is worth playing, but wait until the price drops.
