Set in the near future, the Battlefield: Bad Company single-player campaign drops gamers into a dramatic Eurasian conflict. As part of a squad of four soldiers, players risk it all to go AWOL on a personal quest, fighting their own war within the war. Featuring a dramatic storyline flavored with attitude, Battlefield: Bad Company leads gamers far from the traditional frontlines on a wild ride with a group of renegade soldiers who decide that sometimes the gratitude of a nation just isn't enough. The Battlefield: Bad Company cinematic single-player experience captures the freedom and intensity of the franchise's legendary multiplayer sandbox game play in a dynamic world where nearly everything is destructible. Gamers have total freedom to be daring and innovative, adapting to and tackling challenges in unexpected "Battlefield-style" ways. Create sniping positions by blowing out a piece of a wall or drive your tank straight through a small house. The ever-changing battlefield forces players, their teammates and enemies to react accordingly. The game also features a full suite of the franchise's trademark multiplayer game play, supporting 24 players online. Battlefield: Bad Company is the first game built from the ground up for next-generation consoles using DICE's bleeding-edge Frostbite game engine, delivering unrivaled graphics, effects and game play.

Refreshing Multiplayer Experience July 25, 2008 F. A. Khan (London, England) Firstly this game should only really be reviewed as a multiplayer game. Single player is a pretty underwhelming experience and there are far better single player games out there. Having said that let me say that multiplayer is fantastic! I cant overstate how much the destructible environments change gameplay, you can no longer just sit and camp. Defenders cannot just block bottlenecks to the objectives, pretty much any wall can be destroyed. Its quite a shock when the wall you where using as cover, is suddenly no longer there! Its amazing sight by the end of a round when buildings will be in ruins and the ground has huge craters from enemy artillery. Its not fair to compare this to COD4 which is squad based shooter, whereas BF:BC is much more with tanks, boats and helicopters. They are different games, appealing to a slightly different crowd. If you enjoyed the old Battlefield games on the PC then you will love this.
BF: Bad Company July 20, 2008 Toby J. Cooper (London, UK) i think this game was ruined by adding to many tanks and helicopters into the game. This game is for the fans of call of duty 3. But as i said in my other reviews this is not for people who like call of duty 4. if you liked this game then i would also consider buying call of duty 5 which is going to be most like call of duty 3 as the same people are back to make it.... i would say that you should get the free demo of BF:bad company before you go and buy the actual game...
Bad Company, Good Fun ! July 15, 2008 Mr James Howat (Eastbourne) Dont usually like shooters but this is quite good fun. Story mode is silly but fun and the online multiplayer is quite rewarding. Never gonna be a classic but it does what it says on the tin. Definitely worth a look at for a more "realistic" shooter than say unreal tournament.
halo lead me astray, now i've found the light again. July 12, 2008 Gerald Kavanagh (a good bit away from you) what can i say? This game might actually be the second coming, i mean wow. This is as good as cod4, maybe better.....no, but as good as. As for halo, it falls apart in this sort of company. This is a review of the full game, welll not a review, a groveling at its feetiew. Its as close as you'll get to a review from me, so take it or leave it. the review that is, take the game, just buy it. You wont be disappointed!!!!!!
