Set in the near future, Frontlines: Fuel of War asks the plausible question `what would happen if our oil reserves were about to run out? As man kind is starved of one of its most important resources two super powers face off over the last reserves in intense futuristic warfare. Starting on the oil fields of central Asia this game takes players across the globe and right into the heart of Moscow itself.

Created in collaboration with a team of military advisors this game features over sixty different weapons and vehicles all based on real world technology being developed by the modern military. Players will be able to take the war to their enemy using everything from guided smart bombs and remote control combat drones to the good old fashioned assault rifle. The unique Frontline mechanic employed in this game ensures that the gameplay is intense and fast-paced at all times as well as giving players the freedom to explore the maps fully.

Featuring a gripping and immersive single player storyline spanning eight vast missions and an exciting multiplayer mode for up to 32 players on Xbox 360 and 64 on PC featuring a unique role and load-out system allowing players to customize their character to suit any situation making Frontlines Fuel of War a simply unstoppable force.

Frontlines Fuel of War: Special Edition features an exclusive hardback art book. You will also receive a limited edition t-shirt as well as the official Frontlines: Fuel of War soundtrack which lends its individual sound from a mash up of New Metal, Electro beat and orchestral tones. 5 out of 5 stars Amazingly thrilling and thats without multiplayer!   August 12, 2008

this game is in my opinoin a master piece in FPS it has good graphics easy controlls (as this was one of my first games)and has a very good and realistic story line there are 7 levels on single player but each one has 2 parts each part at least 20 mins long. i have thoroughly injoyed completing this game and i havent used its multiplayer capabilities as i havent got xbox live. also when you kill a red star enemy they die in a sort of rag doll way. this game also has some really cool music and this game is even better when you buy the special edition as you get a load of extras i hope this review has helped. Tom

5 out of 5 stars A Belter of a game.   August 11, 2008
Kevin (Fochabers)
First of all I don't play online so I can't comment on that side of things but as a game I can't fault it. I also have COD4 and consider this to be an excellent game as well but I think I would err towards FOW. Hours of fun with all the additional drones etc some of which can only be found if you explore the vast areas you play in. Lets just hope that the story line stays as just that !!!! As one FOW Warrior says "They,ve all gone off for a cup of tea", so I'm I. Enjoy.

This game got some mixed reviews, from average to decent, but to be honest I absolutely love it.
Its no Halo or COD but it is far more entertaining than both as its just so accessible, the difficulty isn't too bad (easy enough, but maybe too easy?) but it still has me going back for more even after I've finished the game at least 3 times, hugely playable and thats just the single player, if you are on live then even better.
The single player campaign is pretty short but features some great vehicles and has some good variations in terrain and has plenty of favorite bits to keep you coming back to it.
No MASSIVE challenge but still very good, looking forward the the inevitable sequel (Even if its more of the same) 10/10

3 out of 5 stars This is way to easy?!?!?   June 23, 2008

I've been eyeign this up for a while I played the demo ages ago and quiet liked. Recently I bought the Special edition off here for 20 which is cheaper than the game by it self which is 24 and plus you get loads of little bits and pieces like T-shirt, poster, Art work book, Cd and the Game (of course).

I bought this game to fill the gap till the release of Battlefield: Bad company. When I final got this game I was Quiet excited I accendetly played it constantly and ended up completing the game in a day :(, which really get p*ssed off well what expect from game that only has 7 levels (I did play this on Normal By the way and some the levels '2 of them' where quiet hard) and the multiplayer would probaly be amazing but it seems not alot people play it the most, People I play in a game was 4 vs 5 when the max can be 16 vs 16 is bit diserpoiting. I got Like all the Multiplayer achivments in one game.

Graphics:
I was amazed how good the cinamatic is and also the graphics in the game are also quiet amazing as well.
I would have to say the graphics are 6/10 overall.

Controls:
The control can be a bit frustrating now and agian like trying to scope and you've accdently thrown a grenade. But the tank and jeep or humvee control have got to be the worst controls ever if you get stuck on somethink, your basically screwed because it seems vechiles don't know hwo to reverse in this game. But don't worry though the helicopter controls are really good there better than battlefield helicopter controls any way.
I would have to give controls a 4/10 overral.

GUNS!!!!!!!:
The guns are very, very, very limted on this don't expect differnet verations basic its a set weapon for a class and then the other team has a differnt veration. Also the weapons seemed to be very, very week on this take like over half a clip to put someone down. The sniper isn't very good on this either some times it dosn't register your bullet hittign the target in the head and then sometimes it takes 2 sniper rounds to the head to actually kill them.
The weapons on this would have to be 5/10 overall.

Gadgets:
The special robots are really cool and fun to use the have the same controls as ground and air vechiles but the controls seems to fit better with the robots.
The airstrikes and laserguided missles are a bit tacky though.
I would have to give gadgets 8/10 there just so amasing.

Overal this game was quiet good to play I didn't really understand the story it feels like that you have to read a book to fill in the giant gaps inbetween missions.
The achivments for this game are probaly the most easy achivments ever.
I will guess the story is about 6-7 hours long on normal.
