Actually for your information your both wrong Konami were making Guitar Freaks (like GH) and Drummania(like RB drum part)which came out long before any Rock Band or Guitar Hero in 1998. and we all know singing games have been around before. So all the credit should go to Konami those genius Japanese ppl.

Guitar Hero 1 and 2 was published by RedOctane partnered with Activision. Harmonix Music Systems were originally in charge of the development of the game, until the development duties were shifted to Neversoft. At this point, Harmonix were no longer responsible for any Guitar Hero games in the future. Neversoft made the third in the series (and soon the fourth) Harmonix created Rock Band as a way to further the profits, and made a unique idea which expanded on the music, band and sociable experience. When you say that Guitar Hero had the band idea way before Rock Band, it doesnt make sense, because Harmonix made Guitar Hero 1 and 2, and Rock Band, the first games of their kind. It was Neversoft who copied everything, by buying the rights to Guitar Hero, making Guitar Hero 3, and now seeing the popularity of Rock Band, by copying that idea. That said, it should be a brilliant game anyway. I don't mind about the background to these games when im playing them, as long as im having a great time =D
guitar hero 4 June 7, 2008 Danny Mcelroy (england gloucestershire) 4 out of 23 found this review helpful
now everybody is saying that guitar hero stole rock bands idea now ppl listen to me guitar hero have been thinking about doing this for years so they didn't steal any ideas if anything rock band stole guitar heroes ideas but enough about that back to th game. go on guitar hero.com to see pics. the difference between this and rock band is the difference in speed so expert on rock band is like hard on guitar hero 4. so if you want something a bit more fast paced get guitar hero. 1.drum kit the drum kit in rock band is not as durable as the guitar hero one. so if u want a long lasting drum kit then get guitar hero. also theres 4 panels on rock band drum kit theres 5 on guitar hero 1 plus 2 are like cymbals and there raised so u feel like ur really playin the drum kit. also guitar hero 1 is wireless i dont know if the rock band 1 is. 2.guitar as far as ive seen there pretty much the same apart from logos but again the gameplay for guitar hero is faster than rock bands so u get a better experience. 3.microphone haven't seen any differences in the mics yet but if i do then ill write a review on it. 5. options well rock band didn't go as far as guitar hero have gone. on guitar hero u can make ur own songs and post them on the community but u cant make ur own words to the songs (who would). create a rocker on guitar hero is A NICE WAY TO MAKE UR LIL HARD ROCKIN AVATAR!!!. which is pretty cool but im not sure if thats true so youll have to find out for urself. thank u for reading my review

This looks like its gonna blow rock band out the water. theres drums and a mic aswell. the drums look realistic with symbols and a snare. And you can create your own songs. what more could you want a violin?
