Don't Expect too Much October 30, 2001 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I.L.S. is a game for you and your mates. Sure it has a one player mode, but it is fairly dull on your own as their is very little range in terms of game modes etc. The graphics are smooth and the players are easily recognisable. The problems with this game are that the player names are correct, for example 'Owains' instead of 'Owen', and so on, I shouldn't bore you with the details. Also the commentary is repetitive, and can sound really lame after hearing the same phrase 5 times in a row. Okay, it's no FIFA or ISS, but a football game's an football game, and as far as football games go, this gets the job done. And what is with the picture of Roy Keane on the front of the cover with a Man. Utd. kit on?

After playing one or two PS2 football games I hoped this would be good. Frankly its a shame that software groups are allowed to sell this RUBBISH. Poor, poor graphics that are easily beaten on PS1. I'm taking it back :(
Good but we have had better June 3, 2001 A D Brown, paddybrown@altavista.co.uk (Widnes, UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This a good game of football with easy to use controls, fluid design and animation, showing what the playstation two can be all about, but we have had better. Look at the standards set even on the playstation one with the depth giving to games like ISS or Fifa and the playstation two versions of these games just blow it from the water. Only buy this game if you are a beginner but after that really you should be adding Fifa or ISS Pro to your collection, hopefully better versions should come of this game.
