Although games are getting increasingly complex from time to time;I find myself wanting a simple old style vertically scrolling shoot em up.Something along the lines of raiden or xenon.I discovered 1945 and wondered if it was an update of the 8 bit classic 1942.To my delight it is,okay this isn`t the greatest or most original game in the world.It`s a straight forward shoot em up that insanely addictive.With various crafts with various powerups and smartbombs to help you blast away to oblivion.Both games are similer with 1945 pt2 having the edge and played in the original2 mode is best.Although short lived if you want an old school blast this is it and in my opinion is better than psyvariar.
