The Greatest Rally Game yet created April 27, 2008 E. T. Johnson (London) A truly great game, now in memory of a truly great driver. CM: dirt in corperates many different styles of off-road racing which add a fullness to the game which hasn't been present in its prequels (although they are great games). Diehard Conventional rally fans can experience all the classics, most notably the red, green and white Toyota Corolla. Whereas newcomers can enjoy the easy but extremely addictive baja-style buggies along with lorry-racing. Summary: If you've even conceived it, they've done it. An inspiring multi-faceted game
Cracking game March 22, 2008 Glezza (UK) I've been a fan of this series for years now and couldn't wait to play this one with all the extra fizz, whizz & bangs of a PS3! And overall I'm over the moon with it, some of the levels are hair tearingly hard, but oh so gratifying when you get them right! The sense of speed is fantastic, the handling just right, Codemasters have done a great job with this! My only complaint, where is Nicky Grist! I can't stand the voice for the co-driver, he really grates! I'm about 60% through the game and I'm looking forward to the rest of it, although I would love to get higher up the world ranking on at least one level, before the end of the year. One last things, thank heavens that the controls haven't been fiddled with, I can use the right analogue for Braking & Acceleration! Brilliant!
amazing game, just 2% away from perfection . March 11, 2008 M. Marshall (falkirk, scotland) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Truly amazing ! by far the greatest rally experience you'll ever play . there's one or two things that the game lacks but that won't stop it from being the greatest rallying game you'll ever play ! you gets some of the greast rally cars ever to be built , from Colin McRae's very own mk2 escort upto his own designed R4 . there's some ot the most detailed enviroments you'll ever lay your eyes on . the characteristics of the cars are truly magnificent , no two cars handle the same , you can feel that right away . all stages are unique , australia has definitely got everything you want , fast narrow stages beetween the rows of tress , the lighting effects gorgeous , it gets the adrenalin pumping flying down these narrow tracks flat out . tress either side of you sun dancing beetween them , knowing that if you make a mistake then everything could come to end there and then ! where else could you find that in a rally game to date ? Nowhere , except Colin McRae Dirt ! car set up is by far one ot the best , each different set up depends on the stage it's seif and your own knowledge , what may seem alright in shakedown may vary on the stage itself . brilliant ! this game is for the true die-hard rally fan. the only minnor inconvenience that i can find are there is no finland , you need finland in the McRae games , and the co-driver could do with a kick up the butt once in awhile for some of his wrong notes , you've played it you'll know what bits i'm talkin' 'bout . this game will definitely always be one of the greatest ! And it always stand as a tribute to the late Colin McRae M.B.E
A triumph!!! March 8, 2008 Mr. R. Parkin (Lancashire, England) I purchased this game this afternoon and I must say it is brilliant. The graphics are fantastic and so is the game play. I have barely stopped playing it since I got it home. There are lots of tracks and vehicles etc. A plus is that in career mode the difficulty can be chosen before each race. Which for me being new to proper games consoles (Previously only had a Psp) is a brilliant feature. Once again I'm new to all this but in my opinion a great game and well worth the money!!!!
??? Where is the Ice and Snow ??? January 17, 2008 A. Cresswell (london, UK) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
great Game and I'm 3/4 of the way through the game pyramid BUT I've yet to encounter much in the way of decent variation of terrain. One point is particularly absent...Snow and Ice ??!!
