When an evil darkness enshrouds the land of Hyrule, a young farm boy named Link must awaken the hero - and the animal - within. Link, a young man raised as a wrangler in a small, rural village, is ordered by the mayor to attend the Hyrule Summit. He sets off, oblivious to the dark fate that has descended upon the kingdom. When he enters the Twilight Realm that has covered Hyrule, he transforms into a wolf and is captured. A mysterious figure named Midna helps him break free. With the aid of her magic, they set off to free the land from the shadows. Link must explore the vast land of Hyrule and uncover the mystery behind its plunge into darkness. As he does, he'll have to enlist the aid of friendly folk, solve puzzles and battle his way through dangerous dungeons. In the Twilight Realm, he'll have to use his wolf abilities and Midna's magic to bring light to the land. Besides his trusty sword and shield, Link will use his bow and arrows, fight while on horseback and use a wealth of other items, both new and old. Players can use the Wii Remote as a fishing pole, while a spin of the Nunchuk controller executes a spin attack.

The Metroid Prime trilogy comes to an end on the Wii, using not just the console’s improved graphical abilities but also the full range of the controller’s features. Half first person shooter, half Zelda style Sci-Fi adventure this is destined to be one of the best games of the next generation. The lowdown:
The Wii remote and nunchuck have what seems like an infinite range of functions but of all the games shown so far this is the only one that seems to use every single one. Although there is still a lock-on option for attacking enemies you can now play the game more like a first person shoot â em-up as you target enemies instantly, just by pointing with the Wii remote. All of the buttons, including the D-pad, are used to access Samus's various abilities, which are added to with new uses for the grappling hook. This now works like a whip, allowing you to nab enemy shields by simply flicking the nunchuck (which also has a motion sensor in it) forward. Most exciting moment:
The best bit of the lengthy E3 demo is an amazing boss fight with regular series villain Ridley, as you both fall through a giant energy shaft. Not only do you have to dodge his attacks but you have to beat him before you both end up splatted at the bottom of the shaft. Since you ask:
The game’s graphics are noticeably improved from the GameCube titles, with much more detailed enemies and much larger game areas. There’s also a lot more enemies onscreen at once, as well as apparently friendly fellow bounty hunters. The bottom line:
The legendary series evolves again, with the best use of the Wii’s controller yet.

The Zelda adventures have always been a very popular ones and this title is no exception. This is probably the best Zelda adventure so far and seemis the wii was designed for this game. It produces days and days of entertainment for anyone who plays it. This game will still be enjoyable in years to come

If you have a Wii, buy this game. Don't buy Super Mario Galaxy. Don't buy Wii Play. Buy this, because it is utterly fantastic.
Graphics: 9.5/10
Some criticize Twilight Princess's graphics, but they have no reason to. Expect beautiful effects and textures, with some lovely cutscenes.
Music: 9.1/10
Great soundtrack all round, from soft, mysterious twilight music to terrifying Ganon-accompanying thunder. Could have done with some orchestrated tunes though.
Gameplay: 10/10
Swordfighting controls work perfectly, as all the combat does. The puzzles are just right, the boss fights hugely enjoyable and the characters well written, but it is the story that really stands out. It will make you laugh, cry, jump for joy and seeth with hatred.
Lasting appeal: 9/10
You'll want to collect all the golden bugs and poe souls, buy the magic armour, collect all the heart pieces, complete the cave of ordeals, and maybe catch that elusive Hyrulian carp, but to be quite honest you are going to want to play this game all the way again- and that will take no short time. Even the fastest player rushing through this won't be able to complete it in any less than 30-35 hours, and normal player will be taking 40-50.
Overall score- 9.9/10

Just buy this. Seriously. Buy it right now.
Good follow up and wonderful plot June 1, 2008

Ok, I loved Ocarina Of Time and the same went for Wind Waker. One was epic and the other full of heart. So I really didn't know what to expect with the long awaited follow up. The beginning can drag on for too long (needless to say I had my doubts) with Link wandering his village unarmed and being only able to explore a haunting forest. However, the game really kicks in during the Goron mines section and from then on I was fascinated and hooked with the immersive world the game is set in. It's huge. If you think about Hyrule field in OoT and then the one in TP, you will definitely notice a strong size difference. With players trying to cover every corner of the map for those awesome Zelda side quests. And in this one they really put OoT to sleep: The side quests are bigger better and more encouraging. This only comes second to the Wind Waker in terms of exploring and collecting equipment.
Now we'll check out the difficulty. They certainly put it up a few notches with all the different enemies and puzzles. There are moments when you feel pride for completing one of the hard as nails puzzles throughout the game and trust me, they aint rare! Also, there has been slightly more effort with dungeon design and it goes to show that this formula fits like a pair of iron boots!
As for the Wii controls, they are fantastic. I had my doubts, but it really is far more involving and interesting to use then tapping 'b' constantly... I could honestly say way more things. But I believe that a lot of these little experiences should be uncovered by an unaware gamer who has bought the game to discover a new world and its secrets! A world like Twilight Princess which to me is: enchanting.
Fun but hard May 29, 2008
Smash King
Twilight Princess is a game that sticks close to ocarina of time and wind waker (never played both) so you should be used to the difficulty. But if you've played the handheld series (or youre first game in the series)the difficulty shall come as a shock. Me myself only had played phantom hourglass and minish cap, so it took me two weeks to get used to the controls. That out the way this game is super FUN. A great storyline , wonderful graphics and different elements of gameplay (I mean how many games do you get transform into wolf). If you're a diehard Zelda fan or VERY paitent GET IT !!!!!

I've been a Nintendo fan as long as I can remember, and the game series of Zelda is one of, if not, the best game on Nintendo consoles throughout the years. This game is a truly great game in all categories (game play, controls, puzzles, story line... etc.)
I highly recommend this game. You are going to get your money's worth.
