Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Excellent value for money & provides an excellent picture.   October 5, 2008

If you're deliberating as to whether or not to purchase component cables for your Wii then I would suggest that you buy this! Reasonably priced, provides an excellent picture and very good value for money.

Forget the branded Nintendo cable, too expensive, this does the job at a fraction of the price!

5 out of 5 stars Best 15 you'll spend   July 15, 2008

Madcatz HD Component Cable (Wii) I cannot believe the difference this cable has made to the quality of the picture on my LCD TV. Using the standard AV lead, I could never get the contrast right, and everything on a white background just 'whited out' and disappeared: I couldn't read anything on the shopping channel. Now it's crystal clear. If you don't spend another 15 to hook your Wii up to your HDTV, then you wasted money buying it in the first place!

5 out of 5 stars A must have for large screen TV's   May 16, 2008

I recently purchased a 42" television, and while playing Mario Kart I had noticed that the picture was not as sharp as it once was, especially in the background of the tracks. After installing this cable I instantly went back on to Mario Kart. I could really see a noticeable improvement and the picture is now much sharper and clearer than it was with the original cable. This is a must buy!

5 out of 5 stars A very decent cable   May 2, 2008

After getting a large plasma screen TV I did notice that the graphics on Mario Kart (Wii) were not as good as I would like. I was using the cable it came with (Composite Video + 2 Audio) without any adapters. So it was giving the best it can!

After installing this cable into the TV component connections and selecting the HD output (480p) in the Wii Menu, the difference was quite noticable. The colours were even more vibrant and most of all, the picture was sharper. So if you have a large TV with component input, this is a worthwhile improvement.

Cable quality seems very good and for me the length (2.5m) made connection to a wall mounted TV practical.

5 out of 5 stars Made big difference   July 18, 2007

I am new in arena of Gaming and Wii is the first console I have ever bought. I was anyways impressed by Wii without HD Cable but this cable made big difference.

While playing "Need For Speed - Carbon" I always used to think that there should have been an option of deeper control for Car's Headlight. Speeding at 110 miles per hour, you cannot see the turns and edges of the road clearly. That was one of the complaints I had against this game that graphics are eye straining.

The day I got this cable and plugged in the first word I said was "Wow" and then now it makes sense to play game.

You will notice big improvement in screen and clarity of graphics. I will recommend to go for Component/HD Cable. If you have spent 300 pounds in console and games then it is worth spending few more quids to get best out of this console.
