Editorial Reviews:

Amazon.co.uk Review

The Wii gets a lot of stick for its abundance of mini-game compilations but that criticism would feel all the sharper if it wasn't for the fact that most of them are still a lot of fun. Launch game Rayman Raving Rabbids was one of the best and this uses the same basic concept while greatly improving the actual individual games themselves. Instead of being captured, this time the strangely limbless Rayman has to sneak his way into a rabbid headquarters near a shopping centre as the demonic rabbit creatures plan an invasion of Earth (or wherever it is that Rayman actually lives).

Rayman's disguises, and those of the rabbids themselves, can all be customised but involve a huge range of movie and video game parodies, from Naruto and Star Wars to Super Mario and Transformers. The actual mini-games are similarly eager to poke fun at anything and everything they can think of including a Guitar Hero spoof, twisted versions of traditional baseball and football sims and even a mini-game set in Ubisoft's own offices which tasks you with the arduous goal of not getting any work done.

There are 60 mini-games in total, with the rhythm action stages making a comeback, in revamped form, alongside the popular first person shoot `em-up levels. In fact there's overall a much greater emphasis now on multiplayer games - one of the weak spots of the original. Almost every game can be played with a friend now, allowing everyone to share the surreality.

4 out of 5 stars Good fun   July 11, 2008
Tracy (England)
This game lacks the storyline of the first Raving Rabbids. It's lots of mini-games - some are silly and VERY short, whilst others are really great fun. I like the Bumper cars game (especially if you have more than one wiimote and therefore more of your friends can play against you) and I like the music ones whereby you have to move the wiimote and nunchuck in time with the music (Funky Town, Satisfaction by Rolling Stones, Smoke on the water to name but a few). It's definitely worth spending 15 to get this game. You will find it fun no matter what age you are.

1 out of 5 stars Not a patch on the original   July 7, 2008
Paul Walker (Epsom, Surrey)
I am not a natural game player and find many games dull, too complicated or too repetitive. The original Rabbids was great fun, and the first game I have ever seen all the way through. And just as enjoyable to watch others play as to play myself. I bought the sequel hoping for more of the same and am bitterly disappointed. The gameplay is way too simple, many of the puzzles are pretty pointless and uninvolving and much of the humour seems to have been mislaid. After about 30 minutes I have hung up my boots and don't expect to put the disc back in. If you haven't got the original try that first!

5 out of 5 stars Great family game   June 15, 2008
Mr. Christopher Simpson (uk)
Bought this for 20 in Zavvi last week, absolutely brilliant, very comical. My son is addicted to it, had a great 2 player game with him yesterday shooting with plungers!! Mini games are a laugh, my son especially likes the burping one!! Really recommended for all ages.

5 out of 5 stars A really good laugh and workout too   June 3, 2008
Ms. N. J. Hill (Nottingham, England)
I absolutely love this game - my 10 year old Son and I have had hours of fun playing this.
Its a real party game too as you can get any age involved.
Some of the games really work you hard and your arms will ache but its worth it.
Great game - loads of fun.

5 out of 5 stars Rabbids Mayhem!!!   March 26, 2008
Mrs. Il Magwood
I purchased this for 17.99 and it was money well spent!!
The mini games are very fun!!! and the game is great with multiplayer!
I love the idea of customizing your own rabbids ! They have also included Nintendo Wifi in the game for the scores around the world wich is a great addition for you to try and beat them!
I find the game funny and original with its ideas and uses great use of the wiimote! and I recommend to anyone looking for a great party game on wii!!!
