Product Description Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock boss battles give fans a chance to compete against legendary guitarists such as Slash and Tom Morello. Players are required to deplete the boss' Rock Meter before the boss goes into their Death Drain solo, which always means 'lights-out.' After defeating a boss, players unlock that guitarist as a playable character and continue to the encore for the set list, which is a master recording of one of their respective bands' most well-known tracks. for instance, When Morello is defeated, the next performance is "Bulls on Parade," during which Morello performs on stage alongside the player. Best game EVER! May 14, 2008 C. D. Archer (england) the game is the best game ever!!! people were complaining because the sound was mono(something like that) but cant u just turn the volume up? Anyway its the best game i ever owned
Fun! Fun! April 15, 2008 SJ (Berkshire, UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a really enjoyable game and great for someone who wishes they could play the guitar but has neither the time nor dedication to actually learn. It's great fun but can get a little bit repetetive sometimes and I wish that there were more songs available because some of the songs are not very good and it can get a little bit boring playing the 5 or 6 songs I do enjoy over and over again. The graphics are fun and colourful too.
Excellent game (buy a extra controller you'll regret it if you dont) April 14, 2008 danny2997 (Desborough UK) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got this game and i asked how much is it for an extra controller it was 30!!!!! i thought this was a rip off i went home and went on the game weeks had past and i seemed to get tempted to play on 2 player the only way i could do that was online mode on a strangers match (buy a extra controller. Anyway to the good part i have had this game for around 4 weeks i have mastered easy and doing quite good at medium i have tried hard and expert loads of times but ive still not been able to get to the end of 1 song atleast i now know where it got its name ive seen loads of videos on youtube about people who can master expert it looks easy ive tried it its definetly not believe me there is a note basicly all the time i find it hard to get my hand up and down the controller on easy you only have to use green red and yellow on medium green red yellow and blue (a bit harder) hard green red yellow blue orange (harder) expert same as hard except the notes come at you even quicker (almost impossible). I found that through the fire and flames was the hardest song on the game its still quite hard on easy to unlock you have to complete career mode on 1 diffuculty i did it on easy like nearlly everyone else if you go on nintendo WFC (online mode) visit www.guitarhero.com you can find tournaments to play against other players which i thought was awesome :) i have entered 1 contest and even made 1 contest you can find other players friend code (on the website above slightly) i have found 4 but the problem with that some people put fake 1s.Back to guitar hero, awesome game a must buy game remember buy an extra controller ;)
ADDICTIVE March 27, 2008 Mr. F. Ghillani (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was a bit sceptic when I saw this game for the first time. I thought it would not be as good as it was made out to be. This is possibly one of the most challenging games out there. It is fun because you feel like you're playing the guitar even when you don't have a clue (mind you it is considerably easier than playing a real guitar) and you feel like you're making the music which is quite awesome =) It is entertaining because you like improving and trying out harder songs, and the different levels of difficulty will make you spend hours practicing more and more! I found this game to be somewhat educational too, as there were songs that I had never heard of (from a few decades ago) that now I absolutely love! It has opened the door to the music other generations were very fond of, and I can now say I am more "music-literate" than before! The guitar is compulsory (duh) and the price quite pricey. Nevertheless, I think the guitar works very well and the whole concept is brilliant. If you can afford it, go for it... but do give it a go at a friend's house before purchasing it as you might not find it as good. By the way, regarding the Dolby II, I really don't see what the big deal is (it works fine without). I do agree with other reviews and think that the game should not market something it does not have/support. Hope this review helps :)
