Who said Pokemon wasn't fun???This takes fun to a whole new level. You just start off doing jobs like the other mystery dungeon games, you then go on to save the world! But there is a surprise in how you do it.Best Pokemon game yet!!!!!!

For those of you have enjoyed the Pokemon games over the years, or at the very least played the recent ones, you should definitely enjoy this game. After collecting, battling, trading and so much more with your favourite Pokemon, you can now BE a Pokemon. Better still, the game tells you what kind of Pokemon you are by asking you a variety of questions then testing your 'aura'. You then pick a Pokemon partner from the list (they can't be the same Pokemon type as you) and then you get to name them! You then end up on a beach with no memory of being a human, and then your partner comes along and finds you. After some dialogue, you're ready to start your first adventure!

It's a little different from Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team Blue/Red (Blue was for DS and Red was for GBA. Personally, I recommend Blue). Instead of going out on rescues a lot, you concentrate more on exploring the dungeons (hence the 'Explorers of Time/Darkness' titles). A couple of people are saying the 'Time' version is slightly better than 'Darkness', because it has a wider range of Pokemon to recruit for your team.

There is also a wider range of Pokemon to be in both Darkness and Time. It now includes Sinnoh region Pokemon as well as Kanto, Johto and Hoenn. Some of the old Pokemon from the first Mystery Dungeon games have been dropped (such as Cubone, Machop, Meowth and Eevee. Skitty may have been dropped also but I haven't tested it for that yet). They have been replaced with more of the other region Pokemon.

A rather delightful game with a good story line and gameplay. Allows the player to directly interact with their Pokemon in their own world. Definitely recommended for those who love Pokemon.

This is another quality addition to the Pokémon series. The game begins by asking you a variety of questions to judge what type of Pokémon you begin the game as, and then you get the choice of another Pokémon to be on your team. The Game's story line is fantastic; the plot revolves around 'Time Gears' which control the flow of time in the world which Pokémon live. It becomes apparent in the early stages of the game that the Time Gears are being taken and thus time is grinding to a halt in different parts of the world. The story follows yourself as a Pokémon and your chosen partner, as you join a Pokémon guild and together aim to solve the mystery of the stolen time gears. As with previous titles in the series you can add Pokémon to your team to travel and battle with you in the various 'Mystery Dungeons'.

There are a vast range of items that can enhance your Pokémon's attributes, whilst tactically your team can be fine-tuned to the extent of linking moves, and giving orders to specific Pokémon once your team is exploring within a dungeon.

The game is very 'text heavy' in respect that the game continually pauses to 'fill in the gaps' with text discussions between Pokémon; however I don't see this as a bad point. The graphics are basic, but the game has some beautiful cut scenes and the general look of the game is bright and cheerful.

The music is catchy and although repetitive, never gets annoying, typical Mario type themes you never get tired of.

The game play follows a similar mould throughout, as it is your aim to progress through the numerous floors of the different dungeons, defeating Pokémon and avoiding traps as you progress, but the building up of Pokémon stats, learning new moves, and adding new Pokémon to your team is a continual incentive to carry on.

I would recommend this game to any owner of a DS, the story, game play and overall look makes this game a worthwhile addition to your collection.
