Amazon.co.uk Review While Deus Ex: Invisible War features better graphics, it doesn't take advantage of all of recent technical improvements and the artificial intelligence of the computer-controlled characters is noticeably suspect. The much-vaunted physics engine has a tendency to make everything feel almost weightless as you throw dead bodies around as if they were made of straw. The original Deus Ex is one of the most fondly remembered action role-playing games on the PC. The game was impressively opened-ended allowing you to march in guns blazing, take a more stealthy approach or concentrate on increasing your computer-hacking skills to use the technology around you. Even the storyline was highly adaptable to your playing style, with its X-Files-style plot set in a future dystopia. It's also a shame that the skill-building system that counted for much of the original's RPG elements has been dumbed down to the point where you simply end up buying upgrades to your weapons and cyborg body. Although Invisible War has many failings, none of them manage to impinge on the game enough to prevent it from entertaining. Games as ambitious and as serious as this are rare and to be encouraged, so anyone looking for something with more depth than the average first person shooter will certainly find it here. --David Jenkins

its Still a Fun game.......... September 27, 2008 Vash (hell) Ok first things first its Not deus ex ! However its still fun to play ! I have enjoyed and finished it twice so far , and its well worth your time. The design was effected by the need to include x box size levels somewhat. But after a few hours i got used to the less open level design. and for less than a fiver new it was great value.
good game September 27, 2007 Mr. S. A. Hill (Paris) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
What's with the low score? If you like the 1st one u will like this one. It's exactly the same type of game, apart from better graphics. If you havent played the 1st one, don't bother with it, it is a bit dated now. The only thing i liked less about Invisible War were the Bio mods. The atmoshphere of the game is really good though and the end is really hard, all good.
Brilliant! September 15, 2007 Geraldine Barnard I loved this game! Sure it's not as good as the first one, and it has it's flaws but what doesn't? The game starts off really slow, but don't let this put you off, as it really speeds up later on, and turns into one of the most amazing game experiences I have played, with an gripping story, funny characters and some genuinely tough decisions. I would recommend that people play the first one first, or by them both in one go! For fans of the first one this should be a must buy, for those who aren't by the first one, play it, love it, then buy this one and love it equally. 10/10
Could have been so much better September 4, 2007 Mr. A. M. Dickson (London) Deus Ex is an all time legend. If u play it these days the graphics are fairly poor and the storyline is too short, but the content and gameplay is great. After several years you would have thought that they would have made the game longer and ironed out the other imperfections, but its half the length, people are still insanely stupid, the graphics are ok but not great and the story is lacking in the depth and conspiracy that made its predecessor so great. The most shocking thing you find out happens very near the beginning and its that the place you work in has a different name. Universal ammo(?) is quickly drained. The skills system has been eradicated and you just buy biomods off shady black market dealers. On to the good parts. The game is still addictive, more choices to make then deus ex and more conflicting goals from earlier on, has more expensive and classier areas rather than all slums and although it doesnt really stand up to deus ex, its a good buy compared to a lot of the other games on the market. If u have deus ex, this is worth a play. If you dont, buy deus ex first as this gives away some of the plot.

Sell out to the console-masses its totally inferior and horribly arcadey compared to the original... Disappointment factor 10 when i first bought it and just recently when i installed again to give it another go...
