Amazon.co.uk Review If you're not content with just watching Hulk on the screen or reading about him in comics and want to be the big green beast--and if you like the punishment of super villainy to involve as much collateral damage as possible--then step right up for some true video gaming mayhem. Based loosely on the Ang Lee movie, Hulk the game casts you as the weedy Bruce Banner, who rather inconveniently turns into a giant green monster whenever he gets annoyed (good job he doesn't take the London Underground to work or he'd burst a blood vessel). Although the movie features only human bad guys the video game features a number of the Hulk's comic-book enemies, including big-headed bad guy the Leader. At first glimpse the game appears to be a fairly ordinary 3-D scrolling beat-'em-up, but it manages to spice things up via the fact that you actually spend a significant part of the game as Bruce Banner, sneaking around army labs and the like in a manner that would make Solid Snake proud. No doubt Hulk combat is what you're really interested in, and here the game doesn't disappoint, with lots of moves and the ability to destroy just about anything within reach, including walls and even the floor beneath you. Simplistic it may be, but it's good fun for those with a short attention span. --David Jenkins

4th time lucky December 17, 2007 Philip King (South East, UK) I was bought this game long time ago, it was a while before i tried to install it...my old PC wasn't high enough spec for it...i went to get it out of the case and one of the discs cracked. My Brother had the same problem with one he bought, i tried to get hold of just the one disc that had split but no luck. This year (2007) i decided to have a look for the game again and saw it on a certain bidding site. I won it and a few days later i had a messege from the seller saying they went to check the discs and as they tried to get one out it split. Seems to be a running theme here, the Hulk may be strong but the discs sure ain't lol Now i have just bought another copy from on Amazon, lets hope its 4th time lucky lol I heard a lot of bad reviews about the game but i am a Hulk fan and have to try the game but looking at all the reviews, if you are a Hulk fan you will like it, if your not its likely you wont like it. Hopefully this time i will see for myself, just wanted to let you know about the fragile discs more than anything.

Not sure what this game is like , looks pretty good , unless you have a top spec PC I would leave it well alone , This game may be good but if you look on the game makers web site you will see hundreds of peoples complaints on the software not running on there PC
The 'jolly green giant' makes a BIG impression! June 20, 2003 Philip J. Henry 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
Just in time to coincide with the new movie, The Hulk manages to get himself immortalised in a computer game! And I am very happy to report that the developers have done an admirable job in recreating the famous scientist/monster as a video game character. Our friendly green giant seems to actually mimic his film counterpart remarkably well. Not only does he look and sound the part, (thanks mainly to Eric Bana who plays the role of The Hulk in the film), but unlike other games featuring super heroes, he actually behaves the way he is expected to; i.e. the programmers haven't made him too weak, and as a result have managed to capture his demeanour and mannerisms very well. On the other hand, Bruce Banner, his alter ego....well all I can say is play the game and find out!In essence, if I was asked to describe The Hulk, I would say it was mainly a scrolling beat em up, very appropriate given the nature of the game, with a hint of stealth and espionage thrown in for good measure. Imagine a combination of Streets of Rage, Fighting Force and, dare I say it, Metal Gear Solid, and you'll be well on the way to knowing what to expect. If there is one critcism that many people will level at the game, it's the fact that it can get a tad repetitive. The levels are well designed, but more often not not they follow the same standard procedure, and that is to repeatedly beat your opponents to a pulp in order to reach the level objective. Having said that though, this is The Hulk after all, and what else would you expect him to do? Solve mind blowing puzzles or carry on a long, drawn out intellectual dialogue with his enemies? Let's allow him do what he does best - use pure brute force to his advantage! The majority of the game is played as the beast himself, with one or two levels as Bruce Banner. It works well, and in my view is a throughly enjoyable game which, as I said, sticks closely to the film and main character. The game comes on 3 discs too, and takes quite a while to install, but perseverance will reap it's own rewards; in this case a well thought out, challenging game which will appeal to fans of the genre and Hulk fans in particular.
