5 out of 5 stars Seen better days   May 21, 2008

I started playing this game on the 23/04/05 after taken 5 characters to level 70 I found there was still plenty to do as each class has its merits, on the down side the average players age has dropped dramatically blizzard's response was to make the game easier , I like to play on a pvp server and have done so from the start perhaps its not the same on all the servers but on the 3 I have played I saw no difference as a result I and five of my friends have decided to try Conan, each of us used to play Meriden 59 the first game of this type we also spent time playing Ao/Daoc and spent close to 4 years playing Everquest 1, from launch these games had a more mature player base and as a result the programmers didn't feel the need to relax the ability you needed to progress , so to sum up it's a Great game well crafted with plenty of depth very easy to play and level but sadly it feels like your stepping into a school play ground each time you logon

I am a recovering wow addict having played this game for 2 years, level 1-60 is amazing and really well thought out and doesnt feel so much of a grind..note this word will be oft used
when i got to 60 before the first expansion came in it was great fun, the pvp content was a lot more diverse in that you would find a lot more people going up levels to pvp together or guilds levelling thru instances or even questing, also depending on whether it floats your boat there were also roleplay realms which did have events and a community featuring that,
well along came the burning crusade and all of a sudden in the first quests people were throwing away their hard grinded for rings and items on literally a few quests to kill boars very simular to when you start back at level 1,
I had 4 characters at level 70 until two months ago and i must say quitting the game was a very healthy decision and well timed as a new expansion is not released to expand the game, just hook those who can continue to be hooked,,
on the realms the general age and maturity levels is not that high what with maturer player base finally deciding to concentrate on their families or try and get one or moving to lotro etc etc also there is better choice now in these games
also if you are just starting this game you should know that you will have to get to 60 then get another expansion to get to 70 and when you are finally there you will have to grindout to 80, there isnt that much choice pvp wise only 4 battlegrounds which gets extremely boring
also by the time you have got all you can out of this expansion and grinded out reputation with various factions the level cap will be 90, also there are still people playing on the eu servers who havent even managed to clear kara let alone do whats required to get into ssc or bt, also this does involve real life ppl hiding behind their avatars and its also can be a very clique game with odd little communities

also i dread to think what you will have to achieve in order to unlock a death knight i will bet that tasks that have to be met are prob highly time consuming

im not sure this review will help, cos u will get great graphics more of the same if you still love it, theres at least 6 mnths worth of content to distract you from your real life, so id say it will probably be quite good if your still hooked, however it is really just more of the same which i dont think warrants it any stars above 1 really, as more of the same just means totally uninspired

also very important note when you grind to max level in wow that is when the real grinding starts!!

5 out of 5 stars This is not a review of the expansion WotLK   May 19, 2008

Hey just wanted to say that i've been playing WoW for quite a while now, (actually since it came out when my boyfriend bought it) and I think its SO much fun!
I really enjoy playing on my lvl 70 Belf hunter and paladin the most, even if i keep on getting ganked :P
I'm really looking forward to this expansion because i think it will be giving me more of the storyline which I'm really looking forward to. I've read all the WoW books too and its nice to see some of the characters encorporated into the game. Expansions, like all other games that have them (take for example The Sims) is made for people to look forward to new things, and yes I think it is another way for the people at Blizz to make some more money, thats just business though, all companies need an income :P
Some people say they are addicted to WoW and warn others not to get the same, its nice to know that people who play this game care about other people but I think all things should be done in moderation (including playing WoW and any other game for that matter).
I log onto WoW pretty much everyday, even if its to say hello to my friends online or to check the mail or go to a raid, but I still manage to remember the people around me too!
These are my opinions and everyone has one, no-body is right or wrong, people just feel things more strongly than others.
WoW is an experience, for me it has been a good one!
I just hope you all have fun playing WoW or doing whatever you do!
ok thank-you
/bow

As someone who has played many MMORPGs from the first one from Sierra "The Realm Online" right up to Lord of the Rings Online and a current player of World of Warcraft the Burning Crusade "Tier 5 Holy Priest", i can honestly say that looking forward to this expansion keeps me awake at nights

3 out of 5 stars people shouldnt be allowed to review games before they or a demo/beta comes out   April 16, 2008

this annoys me when i go onto a page to pre order or look at a game that hasnt been released just to find someone on it who has bad mouthed the it already before playing because they didnt like the last one or because they dont like other games like it i say to you people : shut up simply that you know nothing about how much fun it is or how it plays yet its so infuriating and it goes the same for those who give good reviews of it there just as bad personally i dont think amazon should allow people to make reviews before release dates as they are based on nothing at all apart from the persons made up opinions.
