Does exactly what you would expect.... September 30, 2008 S. Nix (UK) This controller adapter works extremely well and is reasonably robust. It was very easy to install, with only one exe file to run from the included mini cd, before inserting adapter into a free USB port. It appears in game controllers in control panel as 2 twin USB vibration gamepads, one for each of the controllers 2 ports. I can also confirm it works with both non vibration, non analogue and dual shock ps1/ps2 controllers. There are 12 buttons, (not including the 4 d-pad direction buttons which show up as an 8 way pov hat switch), and 4 analogue stick axis. It works well with many games and also the ePSXe emulator! Overall, a good product and at 7.35 & 1.99 postage, good value too.
Good While It Lasted February 27, 2008 D. Venus 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This was great for playing games like pro evo and gta as you didnt have to find and extra pair of hands from somewhere to press all the keys needed, just plug in your ps1/2 controller and your away. The downside to this product is it doesn't last very long as it is very cheaply made. It isn't very strong where the cable meets the box so if you pull it a little to hard it doesnt take much to loosen the wires inside causing it not to work. My advice is look around you can find better quality products for half the price, as I did after owning this product for the three weeks.
Works Great June 5, 2007 Mrs. S. Wear (UK) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
What surprised me the most was that you an plug in two PS2 controllers!! Fantastic! Also that the Rumble function works!! That was the biggest surprise. This product is ideal for all computer games. Particularly good for Emulator software and works great for Halo PC, F.E.A.R. and also Unreal Tournament 2003 (after a lot of hard work manually making adjustments to the configuration files) the rumble feature works with all these three games and the emulators! Quick reminder for anyone using this product, remember to press the "analogue" button on the controller after you plug it in in order to be able to use the analogue sticks!!
Ok but in the end cheap May 28, 2007 Mr. C. J. Turner 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
Got this item around 6 months ago and never had any problems with it, it does look cheap but that didn't phase me untill i realised it looked cheap for a reason! Recently started stopping and starting which made it impossible to use, after little time of wear and tear the weak connections from the cable to the chip broke. I'd advise spending 2 pound more and getting a more sturdy one!
More control for your PC games January 12, 2007 C. Love (Glasgow, Scotland) 16 out of 17 found this review helpful
For those of you who still rely on the keyboard for sports games (Pro Ev!) and driving games, get out of the dark ages! For years I played these games on the keyboard and thought that it was fine, but it is a whole new experience with the PS2 joypads. I just plugged the adaptor into my USB port, plugged two PS2 controllers and hey presto, not even a hint of driver installation or setup, I was ready to go! The importance of analog sticks in driving games really can't be overstated, and with regards to Pro Ev 6, the game is so much more playable. Shots actually go where I intended them to go, and players respond to a small change in direction without having to slow down dramatically, something that simply isn't possible with the keyboard. No more unfair CPU advantage! (OK, that's a lie, but it isn't nearly as bad!) The right analog stick didn't work with EA Sports Rugby 2006 and the buttons were all different from the PS2 version, but that really is the games fault, offering no option to config the controllers! This is the perfect option if you want to play games on the PC using analog controls and already have a couple of PS2 controllers kicking about!
