Editorial Reviews:

Amazon.co.uk Review
Vegas Games offers many of the most popular casino games--craps, video poker, slots, blackjack, keno, baccarat and the money wheel--but that doesn't necessarily mean that any of these games are fun to play.

A more appropriate title for this game might simply be Games, since we associate Vegas with excitement and fanfare (both of which are lacking in this title). It's nearly impossible to tell if you've won at any of the games contained within this bargain pack. Unfortunately, Vegas Games offers no feedback on your victory. No messages. No flashing lights. Nothing. The game doesn't even have sound effects, which would have been infinitely preferable to the grating music that plays as you gamble.

Stats are tracked so you can tell how much you've won or lost at the various games, but all records of your victories and defeats are wiped out when the Game Boy is turned off. Video poker is about the only game that is fun to play in this collection, but sadly that isn't enough to carry the game as a whole. --T. Byrl Baker

Pros:

  • Clear graphics
  • Contains several casino games
Cons:
  • No sound effects
  • No feedback when you win

2 out of 5 stars Good idea in theory!   November 25, 2001

I bought this game as I am not very technically minded when it comes to computer games!
Great, I thought slot machines and roulette - What a let down this game was. It now permanently lives in my game boy bag it is that good!
At first it was also very tricky to work out as the included instructions are non-exisistant. So not a very good start. I was bored very quickly and just stuck to the slot machines even though it also has many other features including black jack, 21 and to be honest I have forgotten anything else on it except there is an ATM machine which is probably the most exciting thing in the game. Basically - nice idea, O.K. graphics but just boring!!
