A must for any boxing fan July 4, 2008 N. Thompson (Hull, England) On single-player this is a good game. However, the on-line mode makes this a truely great game. This is by far the best boxing game to come out on any console and it shouldappeal to any fan of the fight game. The game play is fluid, the tactics are realistic. Im still playing the game on a regular basis and Ive had it for years. The on-line mode is exception. The AI (in single player mode) is not the greatest but when playing another human player from some where around the world then this game is in a league of its own. If your a fan of boxing and video games ... then this is a must buy.
Let's Get Ready To Rumble!! March 31, 2008 Mrs. Dawnc Alexandre (Jersey (CI)) I don't own this game myself but I borrowed it off my brother for a bit so that I could get some easy achievements. EA Sports: Fight Night: Round 3 is a Boxing Game and it is the third game in the series. Obviously, the game is done by EA Sports (Electronic Arts). The goal in the game is to build up a custom made character or choose a pre-set character and then take him through a boxing career. You simply choose a challenger you wish to fight, train up your character with a trainer and then once you've done some training you are ready to set yourself to a fight. By winning matches, your character will become popular and the more popular you are, the more trophies and prizes you can achieve. Not to mention, that there are also Sponsored fights you can enter as well by the Dodge, Everlast, EA Sports, Under Armour and even Burger King events! Unfortunately I cannot explain much more about the game as my brother offered a deal to me which was he finishes Fight Night for me on my XBox 360 whilst I finish his game Prey on the XBox 360 since I finished the game a little earlier! However I can say that EA Sports: Fight Night: Round 3 has a small amount total of 8 achivements in total, allowing you to get a total of 1000 Gamerscore Points. Each achievement is roughly worth 100 or 150 Points each. My Personal Game Score: 8.5/10: Excellent, Wonderful, Good One My Wish: The controls on the game are confusing, as you mostly have to rely on the Right Joystick and the RB button on the XBox 360 controller for jabs, smacks and haymakers. It's hard to gain practice for the game so I do wish for some control training in the game. Final Comments: If you like boxing or you fancy a game where you can earn a easy 1000 Points in achievements, then EA Sports: Fight Night: Round 3 is a game for you to try! good game March 24, 2008 Mrs. Rosamunye Hudson (UK) good graphics punch contros knockouts are really cool, the only problem were is amir kahn, floyg mayweather, joe kalzaghe, enzo macrannelli etc there aint enogh boxers in it that why i gave it only 4/5
Slightly disappointed... January 2, 2008 Mr. J. R. Elliott (UK) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The graphics are great and the total punch control system is good, but I'm still waiting for a proper boxing career sim. This is EA all over to be fair. Some of the American sports games come close to simulating a career (Madden & NHL for example), but games such as Tiger Woods & Fight Night are still a long way out. Don't get me wrong, this game is fun to play and there are good customisation options for your boxer. I'm just left feeling a little short changed. Achievements are also wildly uninteresting, with a 100-150 point achievement for each `stage' of your career. Nothing else. Worth buying if you like boxing, but don't expect anything other than a platform to punch an opponent's lights out.
xbox360 fight night round 3 September 5, 2007 Ms. C. L. Lowe (UK) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
This game is absolutly awsome. The gfx on the characters are so realistic you really feel like your watching a real fight "at times". There is 1 problem i found that annoyed me with game saves. It has autosave on the game and i spent 15 hours playing the game got 750 gamer points and bought shorts etc to make my player better. The day after i played the game and i lost all my money, clothes, player stats and strenths. The only thing it had saved was who i was up against next! This means im playing the next person with far higher strenth because my game didnt save all the info it should have. So overall it only saved the next round but nothing else! Im not playing it all again just to get where i was so its in the bin now. If it wasnt for this problem the game would get my 100% vote. I would still recommend buying it though.
