Wow September 3, 2008 SHAN3 1988 This game is great. Its been a while coming but im not disappointed in the slightest. Gameplay is quality, graphics are crisp and the gameworld has been well thought of. im willing to give this game 5/5 but one thing which drives me crazy is the cutscene everytime you die, you HAVE to watch it and then respawn straight after. Near the end of the game you die quite alot!
Back away from the Xbox... September 1, 2008 B. Weekes (London, UK) 0 out of 6 found this review helpful
Got this game today and spent a little over two hours playing with the barbarian class and wasn't at all impressed - the graphics were poor (think PS1), the gameplay unchallenging... even boring and definitely not worth the price tag, or any price tag for that matter. I would recommend you go back to the PS2 and carry on playing God of War, or try sawing off your arm with a wooden spoon for better entertainment.
Too Human XBox360 review September 1, 2008 Mr. Stuart Travers (UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this game on Saturday so haven't played it loads yet but I am about a third of the way through on the champion character. Overall the game is great. I bought it because I wanted something different to the first person shooters as I really still struggle with the controls coming from a PC FPS background. Anyway, good points first: Graphics are excellent but the sound is simply stunning and it really makes for an immersive experience. The gameplay is also great overall. I liked the flowing gameplay and zero load times. Also liking the leveling and skills to choose from. I'm still leveling up but there are some amazing weapons to choose from especially the big mofo guns that you can sit back and level enemies form a distance before getting into the thick of it with the melee weapons. Not so good points: I'm finding the cut scenes and movie sections a bit boring and there are loads of them. I've played about 5 hours so far and a good hour of that is either watching movies or running around HQ looking for people to talk with. The only other real let-down is the lack of different enemies to fighjt. So far, I can count on the fingers of one hand the different types I have tackled. It does get juiced up a bit as each enemy can carry different weapons and defences but still it is a bit lacking. All in all, I am growing to realy like this game and even now, it does have that replay value that is really rare in games these days (just one more go). Buy this game if you like sci-fi stories and loads of loot collecting and also killing LOTS of bad guys. Seeing about 40 goblins running towards you from a mile off is an amazing site and that alone really shows off the power of the XBox360 to be able to animate from that distance away. Nice one!!
a demo review only. August 24, 2008 voice of reason 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
very nice graphics :) and lots of fun to be had. reviewing a demo is always awkward but if the game is good, the limited demo should be all you need to get a feeling for the finished product. As for the 'bad control system' others have mentioned, I disagree. The controls were fine. As with all titles you have to take time to adjust to new control styles :) Don't fear change guys. Or would you prefer a Nintendo style 2 button affair? I cant help thinking that bad gamers always blame the so called 'bad controls' :) lol

I downloaded the demo of this over XBL and I must admit the first time I played it I wasn't sure about it. But then once I got my head around the controls (they differ significantly from the standard setup most 3rd person games use), I really got into it! I've played through th demo about a dozen times now using both the Berserker and the Champion using various weapon and Skill tree combinations, IT ROCKS! IF you're after the standard 'run around and shoot things' kind of game then maybe this isn't for you, however, if you want a game with oodles of depth and an intersting story, (I can't say great as I haven't played through the whole game), they go for this, you won't be dissapointed. As with most games, if in doubt play the demo and make up your own mind, everyone is different after all. HAPPY GAMING!! :-)
