Childish, frustrating but infinitely playable August 12, 2008 N. Taylor (Worthing, West Sussex, UK) Will you get bored of the cut sequences? Yes. Will you throw your controller in frustration? Yes. Will you get back from the pub and lose hours playing this? Yes. I admit that since the advent of mini-game giant Mario Party, which allowed you to humiliate yours friends by simply mashing the buttons of your controller, there hasn't been much competition for the crown. Like a newly promoted Premiership football team, Rayman struggles without any substantial storyline, however given a target audience of 3-10 maybe I am asking a bit much from the game. There is good variety and most games will keep you engaged for oh.. at least 20 minutes. The multiplayer mode is where the game really comes into it's own and with LIVE modes there is enough to entertain anyone from 3 to 30..
Very random but fun game! October 23, 2007 *cat* (England, UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Whether you like this game depends on the sort of gamer you are. If you just love to have a laugh with mates and usually go on the multiplayer mode more than the story, then you'll probably like this game. On the other hand, if your looking for a challenging story with lots of variations that will take you a while to complete, then this game is not for you! The story mode is basically just levels where you have to complete 3 out of 4 minigames to a certain standard, which are chosen from the wide range of minigames in the multiplayer mode. These minigames can be shooting, racing, sports, dancing or a number of other different themes. Once each level is completed you will win either a new song or a new costume to dress up your character in the story and multiplayer modes. If you have ever been on Timesplitters: Future Perfect, the minigames on this game are similar to the minigame challenges on there- random and very silly. I love to play this game with mates but rarely play it alone. So make up your own mind, but I hope this review helps!
Good, basic fun!! July 19, 2007 A. Stevens (UK) If you can get this game for 15 or under, go for it. It's a fun game with nice graphics. A good little time passer for young and not so young.
