Set in the near future, Frontlines: Fuel of War asks the plausible question `what would happen if our oil reserves were about to run out? As man kind is starved of one of its most important resources two super powers face off over the last reserves in intense futuristic warfare. Starting on the oil fields of central Asia this game takes players across the globe and right into the heart of Moscow itself. Created in collaboration with a team of military advisors this game features over sixty different weapons and vehicles all based on real world technology being developed by the modern military. Frontlines Fuel of war October 3, 2008 Mr. W. O. WHITESIDE (UK) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
right...firstly..this game had alot of build up..the trailors of it made it look like one of the best games around. When i got my xbox i decided i was going to buy it, but thank God...i didnt. i borrowed it off a friend...and if it was my own copy..it would of been snapped in half instantly. The accuracy of the guns is horrific. driving a jeep is the most difficult part...it only goes straight. once you crash....your screwed. dont buy this game. its a waste of money and a waste of your time. if you want a good shooter thats different to call of duty 4. go for Rainbow six vegas 2.
Get a GRIP GEEKS!!!! September 13, 2008 D. Johnson (England) Will you geeks get a life!!!!! This is a brilliant game. Can't really fault it. The graffics, game play and overall entertainment are superb. What's more, look at the price now!! You'd be a fool not to purchase this game. The on-line play is awe enspiring....really!!! Go out and treat yourself to a real gem. Most of the reviews are average 4 stars, so go with it....you will NOT regret it.
Amazingly thrilling and thats without multiplayer! August 12, 2008 Tom 360 (England) this game is in my opinoin a master piece in FPS it has good graphics easy controlls (as this was one of my first games)and has a very good and realistic story line there are 7 levels on single player but each one has 2 parts each part at least 20 mins long. i have thoroughly injoyed completing this game and i havent used its multiplayer capabilities as i havent got xbox live. also when you kill a red star enemy they die in a sort of rag doll way. this game also has some really cool music and this game is even better when you buy the special edition as you get a load of extras i hope this review has helped. Tom
A Belter of a game. August 11, 2008 Kevin (Banffshire) First of all I don't play online so I can't comment on that side of things but as a game I can't fault it. I also have COD4 and consider this to be an excellent game as well but I think I would err towards FOW. Hours of fun with all the additional drones etc some of which can only be found if you explore the vast areas you play in. Lets just hope that the story line stays as just that !!!! As one FOW Warrior says "They,ve all gone off for a cup of tea", so I'm I. Enjoy.
Underdog August 5, 2008 D. Wiltshire (NY England) This game got some mixed reviews, from average to decent, but to be honest I absolutely love it. Its no Halo or COD but it is far more entertaining than both as its just so accessible, the difficulty isn't too bad (easy enough, but maybe too easy?) but it still has me going back for more even after I've finished the game at least 3 times, hugely playable and thats just the single player, if you are on live then even better. The single player campaign is pretty short but features some great vehicles and has some good variations in terrain and has plenty of favorite bits to keep you coming back to it. No MASSIVE challenge but still very good, looking forward the the inevitable sequel (Even if its more of the same) 10/10
