Another year, another round of sports games from EA...
This is a solid addition to the NBA 2K series with all the season, tournament and career options you could wish for and the usual deluge of licensed teams. The ability to create and develop your own player is an excellent addition and good fun too.
I do have a couple of gripes though.
Firstly, I found the menu system complex and difficult to navigate.
Secondly, you have to manually save the game every time you progress - automatic saves should be standard these days.
Finally, and most disappointingly of all, if you've invested in a 360 for it's HD capabilities then this game will have you fuming. In order for it to work at all I had to flick the component connection to my shiny new Sony Bravia TV to normal 'TV' mode and downgrade the 360 system settings to alter the Hertz - as a result it looks no better than the Xbox version with jagged edges galore and stuttering camera work. I think to run it in true HD you need a VGA cable.
So instead of this go and get yourself 2K7 or even wait for 2K8. I've downloaded the demo of 2K7 from Xbox live and it plays the same but with more polished graphics.

this game shows how basketball games are suppose to be like, this game is the best basketball game out yet, i am telling you now, buy it!

This game is amazing, the detail in every single basketballer, the detail in the crowd, the commentary, the gameplay and the amount of features in this game all bring together a fantastically enjoyable game. The only main feature i use alot is The association where you run your own team and your primary goal is to get your team to the playoffs in one peace and earn a truckload of money in the process.
Very fun game with an upto date roster so you wont be disapointed. The commentary is spot on when pointing out your every move or telling the fans about the players history.
You also have the create a player and create a team option which didn't go un-noticed.
Buy this game you are sure to love it.
