I love all Ice Hockey games, which includes the 2K7 title.
Having downloaded the NHL '08 demo I was instantly hooked and went straight down to blockbuster to swap all the games I didn't play anymore for an NHL title. The only title they had was the 2K7 product so I thought "how bad can it be" went home and looked at some reviews and went back and got it. I do enjoy the game, and the graphics etc are great, but if you are thinking of getting an NHL title, get the EA Sports one as the control system is so much more natural, it makes the in game experience much more exciting (particuarly the shoot-offs).

This game is pretty dam good; you can safely ignore the previous reviewers comments. The only problem is that it is too in depth, I have no idea what all the rules are in hockey but I'm learning, slowly. The game play is fast paced, accurate and the controls are intuitive but a little over awing at first. With training and practice there is all sorts of techniques and skills that can be learned; everything from pressuring a defenseman, controlling the goalkeeper in defensive play and coaching styles. Definitely buy this game if you have time on your hands and are willing to put the effort in. If you aren't into such demanding games then maybe there are other alternatives on the market but this is a very good game!

If u like fun mayb this for u but noway near better than EA's graphics arnt bril. The controls r to difficult and the shootin system sucks. No power really in the shots. The GK's aswell awful techniques and spoil the game. Overall not a gd buy, waste of money, go and buy NHL 07 far better.

I bought this game to try something new, never having played an Ice Hockey game before, and knowing only the basic rules I found the game to become rather tedious and boring. After the first few weeks, the novelty of playing a game of an unfamiliar sport wore off it began to lose it's appeal, and I ended up trading it in. The graphics are very good however and for the current cheap price amaazon are offering it at you can't really argue; so would be unfair to give it less than 4 stars!
Not for me as an Ice Hockey rookie, but then again a more hardened Ice Hockey fan might love it.

I've never been an ice hockey fan but this game is sinply brillant. The game is east to pick up and you'll be skating around beat up the other team in no time. As with many sport games, it can lose its appeal, but whene you are a few of you playing on it, there is a whole range of ice hockey related mini games that provide hours of entertainment. The graphics are nice and crisp, nothing less then what you would expect from an Xbox 360.
