This Icehockey game from Midway is a NBA JAM type game only its icehockey. It's 3 on 3 in small arena where everything goes!!! If u dont know NBA JAM it's an arcade basketball whereas fx. NBA Live is more a simulation type game. I played NBA JAM and i loved it, I tried this and I must say it's real FUN, especially if when you play with friends. Graphics are very good, especially the crowd is nicely animated. Player movement is also very good and gameplay is a winner, just like the other similar Midway games (NBA JAM, NFL BLITZ). Sound is ok not something i noticed much though ( Maybe that's good :) ). I look forward to a new NBA game from Midway, and hope it will turn out as good as this title!! HAVE FUN PLAYING THIS GAME, I know I did!! 4 **** for fun and FUN

This game really is great fun! It is ice hockey with a twist, as you get involved in fights against each other to sort disagreements out! The aggressive moves you can do with this game makes it even better fun in two player mode, as you try to trip and bash each other off the puck. You can even send your opponent smashing through the glass surrounds if you push them hard enough! In one player mode I found the computer a little difficult to beat to start with, which serves me right for not drifting thorugh the manual or checking the options menu out before ploughing in. I had the goalkeeper in player control mode instead of being controlled by the CPU. No wonder he was standing there doing nothing!! To make the game easier to play , (and reduce the clutter on screen) you only have three outfield players and the keeper per team. This makes the game a lot easier to get to grips with.In short, this game is Ice Hockey without the referee, anything goes! The only quirk I have with the game is the unanswerable questions you are asked to gain credits, as they are all obviously based on the NHL, and how can you follow that over here in the U.K.? If you want a very good looking and playable game, buy this.

This game is ice hockey as everybody wishs it would be. Fast paced action, with bone crunching tackles and loads of fights. Well worth the buy, amazing quick picking up game to play with ya mates.
