5 out of 5 stars Bloody!   October 30, 2007

Buyers should be aware that this version is rather more gruesome than its predecessors. Scenes of blood splattered walls may not be to the taste of those wishing for a plain fun shoot-'em-up!

5 out of 5 stars Best FPS Yet!   August 26, 2006
Tanith (UK)
Put simply, this is the best first person shooter I have ever played. The game is very funny, the multiplayer (co-op and verses) is broad and amazing, and the storyline is good. Graphics and music are both good. The controls can be mapped to your personal preferances. I cannot find a single bad point about this game.

If you don't get it because its an amazing shooter, get it for its shear comic value!

This is a quality fps, the story is exciting, the mini extra games will keep you entertained for hours and the multiplayer is truley brilliant

well worth the buy!

4 out of 5 stars One to keep coming back to.   August 1, 2006

I was never really a fan of the first Timesplitters game so I sort of stumbled into the second game and surprisingly loved it. This did however mean I had high expectations for this instalment, thankfully I was not disappointed.

Firstly it looks great. Timesplitters has a pretty cartoony look that works perfectly with the humour of the characters and situations they find themselves in. And it's not often that the humour a game thinks it has actually makes me laugh but I found myself laughing at the story mode for the right reasons for a change. There is a vast array of characters that you can unlock as you progress as well as some bonus cheats that are of great amusement value but little use. These are all unlocked by playing the various modes, Story, Arcade and Challenge and these last two modes are were I feel this game really comes into its own.

Ever tried Monkey Curling? You can here. Ever raced a stuffed cat around a neon landscape? You can here. How about trading sniper shots with some undead mooses? Again, it's all here. This is where I find myself coming back again and again, trying to score those extra couple of points that make the difference between a sliver award and a gold one.

Another fine addition to this game is the mapmaker. If you have Xbox Live you can build and trade maps with other players around the world. If you check the EA Games website you can follow the ratings given to your maps and the number of downloads. You also have access to a huge range of stats about your play such as number of steps taken backwards, always useful to know!

This really is a good game. Looks great, sounds great, has a well pitched difficulty curve and tons of replay value.

A fine addition to any collection.

I personally loveeeee timesplitters games. They have so many characters you never get bored. on this the graphics are improved and i think the one player is more smartly done whereas on the first one you just get the feeling your some weird time traveller... but there's more smartness to this.

I think the characters are well done, i borrowed this game of a freind and i just played deerhunter.. the creepy eyes. Also if your a fan of the monkeys you'll like this there are lots of different types of them. I think gameplay has improved... i just think it could of been that littttle bit better but 4.5 anyway.

Thanks for reading
